Here is my deck for your masterful scrutiny

3 Sidney's Stadium
2 Mr. Stone's Project
4 Bebe's Search
2 Team Galactic's Wager
3 Rare Candy
2 Scott
2 Rosanne's Research
1 Island Hermit
1 Celio's Network
1 Professor Oak's Visit
1 Copycat

22 Trainers

2 Darkrai
2 Darkrai lv. X
4 Spheal
2 Sealeo
4 Walrein
2 Jigglypuff
2 Wigglytuff
2 Smeargle

20 pokemon

9 dark energy
6 water energy
1 warp energy
1 DRE
1 scramble energy

18 energy

My strategy is to get a Darkrai or a Smeargle out first, hopefully get some early prizes, and build up more walrein and my other darkrai. (during one game at regionals I had 3 fully charged walrein on my bench).
I have had a lot of luck so far with Goodnight Melody+Sidney's Stadium, but I feel like my trainers are seriously lacking. Should I take out one of my Darkrai lv. X, add in a regular darkrai, and also add some premier balls? Should I take out a spheal/sealo/walrein/an energy for two sneasel and two secret wonders Weavile?

please help!!

well obviously it's not the best deck in the format, that's not what I'm going for. I was just hoping I could get help so it could be the best it could be. I play darkrai because i have fun with it.

i play darkrai with a wiggly and weavile in regionals and got 12 place (compared to what i got at states, that's pretty godly). the only weakness of the deck is that all of the pokemon other than weavile were weak against dark. but dark and water doesn't mix that well, thought the way i play it, it works, well sort of... if u play it the way i would play it, with no water pokemon, play a good dark/colorless type pokemon that is resistant to fighting (i'm trying to deside between togekiss or pigeot).

Darkrai is definitely playable, I played Darkrai/Weavile/Houndoom at Regionals and came in fourth. Darkrai/Walrien is fun but if you're worried about winning I would strongly suggest playing Darkrai/Weavile and another dark pokemon with 1-1 or 2-2 Claydol.

Throw in a couple Moonlight and Lake Boundry for Bannette. I didn't play Absol in my deck, but that may be beneficial against Banette. Even though it seems like Darkrai would do well against T2B, it is actually one of the worst decks to play with it. I lost once to T2B and ElectiLock, got top cut, beat a T2B then got ousted by a different T2B. Mostly the reason it loses is because it is one of the few decks faster the Darkrai.

Provided you start with Darkrai and Weavile against anything but T2B, you can win fairly easily.

Also, avoid playing with Wiggly, I have tried this extensivly and IMHO it slows the deck down to much. Togekiss might work, I'm going to playtest that and report back.

Hope this helps!

Wigglytuff is a great card to run with Darkrai but run Xatu as well so you can have Darkrai wake up and attack for 80 right away. It is pretty good and ticks people off!!!!

I personally love the Lv. X Darkrai, but combining it with Walrein is probably what's hurting the most. Since Darkrai lvX turns Basic darks into specials by concept, it works best with other dark types. The Darkrai/Sydney's/Wigglytuff is a good combo, but works best with primarily the lv.40 Darkrai rather than the Lv. X.

Water Weaviles are good with a Lv X darkrai when your other attacking pokemon take any energy or dark energy. I've had good experience with using Blissey/Water Weavile/Darkrai lvX, but there are weakness issues with that setup as well.

Overall i think i'd advise to pursue either the dark side or the water side of this deck, depending on what pokemon appeal to you more. It just seems that the Walrein/Darkrai clash when it comes to a combo.

one of my personal faves is the dark type weavile, and of course bench up some DRE while Weavile has the darks and X on the bench for instant 60+
i don't know of any Walreign combos tho.
