Well, this is my first report on Pokegym. Everr.
The night before, i got to playtest a little bit, but not a lot.. Between me and my cousin, the only decks we had on us were my ZPST, my ReshiPhlosion, and his not completely built Gothitelle/Reuniclus. We played some games, and i basically got stomped 0-7. To go with that bad streak, my step-dad went missing Friday too! But, we found him. In jail. Not so cool. But hey, stuff happens, right?

So, my deck choices were either ZPST or ReshiPhlosion, and i was pretty set on Reshi. I played ReshiBoar a little bit the night before too, mainly because i thought it would have a better Gothitelle match-up. But.. i was wrong.

Anyways, ENOUGH.

Dallas, TX
Deck: ReshiPhlosion
5 Rounds of Swiss, Top Cut of 4.

Round 1 vs. Pearce B. w/ KYMJ (Kingdra/Yanmega/Magnezone/Jirachi)
I knew Pearce a little bit, and he's new to the tournament scene. I'd beaten him and his brother both before at the Spring Battle Roads a while back. (I won, with Gyarados ;P)
I get a pretty average start, getting out Typhlosions pretty quickly. He, on the other hand, has a very poor start. He made quite a few misplays, and i pretty much took an easy win. He got out a Magnezone, about 6 turns to late, and pretty much lost because of that.

1-0

Round 2 vs. Ryan N. w/ SCOLIPEDE
No. This is not a joke. He was seriously playing Scolipede. With Reuniclus, Vileplume, and Zekrom. He goes first, and uses playground pretty much letting me get completely set-up, since i had a terrible hand. On my turn, i'm able to attach, and then PONT for a fresh hand. I felt pretty comfortable as long as he didn't get out the T2 Vileplume. Now, it's his turn and he Rare Candies into a Reuniclus and does a few other things, but i'm not sure what. He saves his hand and just playgrounds staying a sleep going into my turn. It's looking really good for me, as i have 2 Typhlosion, and a Ninetales out on my T2. I Pokemon Catcher out his Reuniclus and Blue Flare it for the KO. After that, it pretty much went compeltely in my favor. The worst part for him is, he only plays one Duosion, and it's in the discard. I dont really remember the details. except i end up winning against a swarm of Scolipedes.

2-0

Round 3 vs. Isabella w/ SamuGatr
I have a pretty good start, like usual, and she goes first. She uses mantine to get slowly set-up and allows me to get everything i need out. She gets out a Samurott with 3 water to kill my Reshiram on T3, but i'm able to Blue Flare it back and KO it the following turn. In the end, she couldn't hit enough water energy to kill my Reshirams and i take a win.

3-0

Round 4 vs. Nikhil w/ MewPluff w/ Yanmega
Nikhil had been winning the other BRs since i couldn't make it to any of them, and hadn't lost a single game so far this season. Until now. He has a pretty bad start, to my average. I believe i'm able to get a T2 Typhlosion, but am unable to get a KO. He struggles to get anything going until pretty late game, and i have the complete advantage. I take the win quickly.

4-0

Round 5 vs. Sean H. w/ ZPST (My cousin, and my ZPST ;P)
He gets the T1, and i struggle to do much. But later on in the game, i'm able to keep a nice and steady swarm of Reshirams going, but in the end, he wins.

4-1

I make Topcut as the 1st seed, and its as follows:
1. Me w/ tyRam
2. Sean H. w/ ZPST
3. Ryan N. w/ Scolipede
4. Pearce B. w/ KYMJ

T4 vs. Pearce B.
In game 1, i take a quick lead, and keep it throught the game. He didn't have much luck here, but he T2 judged me, which kinda hurt since i had the RC Typhlo and Juniper in hand. I end up winning with around 30 minutes left on the clock.
1-0

Game 2:
I have a pretty bad start, and he goes first. He started Magnemite to my 2 Cyndaquils, and attached and passed. I go, and i believe i have the Collector, but i don't remember. I ended up getting out Reshiram somewhat quickly loaded for Blue Flare though. He goes, and Rare Candies into Magnezone, and plays a pluspower, drops an energy, and fills his bench. I was a little bit worried, but i was calm. In the end, he gets set-up pretty well, but the match-up just isn't anywhere in his favor.

T2 vs. Sean H. w/ ZPST
Yes, he beat Scolipede. I felt proud, because both of my decks were in the T2, and he didn't even play Pokemon Catcher in it.
Game 1, i go first and get out my Pokes, and have Reshiram active. I belive he has the T1 Tornadus, but i was able to PP kill it the next turn. I win pretty quickly, and theres still enough time on the clock.

Game 2, i have an epicly terrible start, and scoop 2 turns in.

Game 3, i get to choose who goes first, and of course, i do.
EPIC:
I started terrible. Active Cleffa, benched Cyndaquil to his active Cleffa. I just decided to Juniper away my hand, and as i did, i told him if i could get a Vulpix, a PP, and a Fire, i win. I draw my 7, and my last card was the beautiful RH PlusPower. I Poke-Commed in my Reshiram, grabbed my Vulpix.
Played down my little shiny Vulpix. (No, not the PL one, the UL one, it's just shiny because it's RH) Attached an old energy to it.
Played a Plus Power.
And i donked with Vulpix.

I felt pretty good, and my girlfriend just thought i was stupid because i kept laughing really hard.

Overrall, it was a very well ran event, and i wouldn't have changed a thing about it.

Props:
My Girlfriend for being a good luck charm
Vulpix

tyRam

Slops:
