PRE-RELEASE WEEKEND
I haven't had much opportunity to score lists this weekend.
We, still, have a couple of people who couldn't turn in their lists (people coming back from Worlds Vacation, computer crashes, etc).
Those people may still PM their lists to me before 8 p.m. tonight (USA EST)
Any others who, for some odd reason, did not turn in their lists due to tech/family difficulties have until 8 p.m. tonight (EST) to get their lists in as well.
To be fair, if anyone has ALREADY submitted their lists and want to update and resubmit, you're free to do so IF you put make sure the TITLE of your PM has something like:
Resubmit - POD# and Round # so I can delete your old submission.
Either way, the results will be up tonight.
Round 2 will have NEW PODS I'm working to get the new round up late this evening as well.
Thanks to all who participated.
Wow this is a pretty abysmal performance. More than 2/3 (75) of the sign-up failed to submit a list for the first round. In fact not one pod had enough entries to trigger an elimination. Props to pods 8 & 9 for delivering 6 out of 11 entries. It seems that RA has an easy time of it this round. It appears that if you submitted a valid list, you advance to the next round.
I have to wonder if something broke down in communications. Perhaps players didn't subscribe to the contest thread (It took me a little time to figure this out at first). Perhaps some people only subscribed to the original sign-up thread. I'm sure there was the usual vacation, back to school, computer's broken, etc. problems...but 75 people sounds really high and really diminnishes the hard work that RA has put in to this.
Somehow seeing the best work from a field of 109 players seemed more interesting than the field of 34 we have left.
I wish there was just someway to get player count back up.
There were many more. Remember, I posted that "these are the people who submitted so far..." so everyone who wondered if I got theirs (or not) would get a head's up. That was posted the day before the deadline. So, there are more people than is evidenced in that post
