Well , I get there and decide what the hell , ill bust out my crappy dragtrode deck. but I added a latios/latias d for pidgeot and such...



Round 1 vs Clay ( Poke_Dad)

EVERYTIME I play clay he gets nothing... EVERY single time. this was no different. he got a delta pidgeot out late and I countered with latios/latias d. he saw like 1 trainer all game. sry clay



Round 2 Vs another clay with polistall

Ok , most people are saying , "Oh wow polistall is your autoloss since you dont play dragg off." well not necesarilly. I have POW! and such. Basicially this game went , draw knockout fossil. "Oh your getting 4 pirzes nect turn with cursed stone" *evolve blissey*

Round 3 VS Dianne Chambers ( LBS)

Ok , this game was kinda out there. she got all offensive when I went to pile shuffle her deck complaining about set - up time blah blah ( after I pile shuffles she took longer to set up than ANYONE. . So I get a HORRIBLE set. I am draw pass for like 4 turns while shes getting all set up. But I know my decks LBS matchup so well that I know I am not outta it untill she takes 4 prizes.She kills my active lugia ( missplay IMO ) that allows me to bring up dark dragonair and evo light. I mentor for Sudowoodo , castform and castform. bring out sudowoodo powered with 3 dark metal and metal charg KO. this throws her into some what of a panic, wel at this point she has board controll and time controll via prizes. So I am scrambling to pll something here. BAM I get a pow and bring out pidgeot for a KO. there is less than 7 minutes on the clock and her turns are going way over the average 2 minutes.I call schell and ask him yo watch for slow play. which REALLY seemed to **** her off.I did something to win this game - I took a 3 (three)second turn ( TIMED IT LOL !!)she is still playing obscenely slow. we are tied on prizes however she is going ahead this turn and is OBV trying to make time run out on her turn. Thankfully my uber judge Chris is watching. she takes a prize and as soon as I draw my card time is called.retriever lugia KO active steelix last 2 prizes.


Round 4 VS Trent Chambers ( LBS)

He gets garbage I get god GG



Round 5 VS Adam Sp4rtan ( LBS)

I have a solid LBS match , but not when I start with latias d and spearhead forf 4 turns. Is till take 5 prizes but he wins

I am seeted 3rd seed I play vs heather lynch ( lunarock)


T8 game 1

I start with latias and basicially garbage close game but she wins


T8 game 2

lugia start draw pass while she goes on a rampage. she owned me




so as im walking out of the tournament room I realize hey , ur an idiot steve latios delta could have played a huge part in that game especially with resistance ( FF gets thru it but still) and one shotting lunasols.

So I am completely disguisted with myself and really dont feel like playing poke'mon tomorrow. But ima gonna go to LA GC anyways.

Steve, trust me you are one of the great players/deck builders in this game. You and John are always at the top.

I know you will do well at nationals. You don't "suck".

Tough breaks this weekend on more than 1 front. Hope the gas tank problem gets fixed easily.

Steven hang in there dude. You and your dad are hitting the "wall" but you are both great players and it is just a matter of time. I have no doubt you will both do it at Nats. See you then...
 
Well, here goes I decided to post since I was mentioned personally. You all can see how often I post lol.
Glad to see my game was so memorable for you. Yes it pisses me off when you power shuffle my deck. Most people power shuffle and when you repower shuffle it completely unrandomizes the deck, as I suspect you know. Also I know that another reason to do it is for mind games and I think that's a cheap way to play. That's o.k. I have an answer for that I hope I see you again.

Oh yeah and about the "slow" play and "stalling" that's bull. Yes the sudowoodo was something new that I hadn't seen and it did throw me for a loop and I was trying to figure a way around it. I simply played the trainers. powers, etc. that I had at my disposal looking for a way to win. Sorry if that is offensive to you. Also I had a few more nonsupporter trainers (you can check with others who were watching) I could have played and other things to make my turn take at least a minute or more longer. In case you've forgotten everytime you play a card you get 20-30 sec more. You also are allowed to look through your discard pile etc. extending you turn time. As you mentioned if I had not ended my turn when I did I would have won. So I clearly wasn't intentionally stalling or I would have had the win.

It's all good we both made it to cut and had our chance. Congrats to Heather Lynch a trully awesome player/person. See you at nats.

Dianne , Would you like to know why I "power shuffled" your deck?I remember your game with my dad at TX regs when he beat you in top eight. Do you remember how that game went? He power shuffles your deck and you made a BIG stink and let it slip how your deck was all 'set' I dont know what you meant by that but THAT is why. I use it as a tactic?? **** ( Yes , 4 asterisks use your imagination) that. I have played throughout the US without using tactics as you put it. I won an STS , top 4 at worlds , won 3 states in three years , top 4 at regionals , Bundles of city medals , and yes this is the first time I havent won a GC.As far as using tactics you know what I have to say to that? :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol:
And after accusing me of that , thats about the oppinion I have of you.

Oh by the way , do you set your deck( there is that word again) , is that why you get so mad?And yea , your answer for that is to have a judge shuffle your deck - and yes I heard about the whole **** ( yes , 4 asterisks again use your imagination) fit that your threw after our game , its not my fault you couldn't even manage to stall me out with a judge there. BUT A VERY NICE EFFORT! With all the friends I have in this game did you not think it would get back to me.

No , if you ask any good PTO a pokemon players turn should AVERAGE around 2-3 minutes. so all of that crappy BS info you provided is COMPLETELY wrong.If you try and pull something like that at a national level event with the worlds best judges and PUI around you will get eaten alive - So quite personally I HOPE you do as long as im around to watch.

And by the way , trent none of this is put towards you , I have met/talked with you at 3+ events and actually like you - so even though I do not necesarilly "like" your mom I want to apologize to you.
 
Doesn't even deserve a reply but I will anyway and then I will not bother to look at this post again. Yes by tatic I did refer to the fact that you only did it since your dad did it. As for setting my deck that's a joke. I power shuffle just like anyone else and I really resent your suggesting otherwise. You don't know me and yet you seem to have set out to make me an enemy. Could this be why I don't think a lot of you??? I keep hearing about this great person who is such a gentleman etc. I sure would like to meet them. I don't think that someone who comes on a public chat area and talks about a person as you have is much of a gentleman. (I know your dad will get mad and I will hear about [I hope not because I really like your Dad and respected him the one time I played him]).

Diana, No heat from me here. steve is a big boy and can fight his own battles. we had a good clean match the one time we played. I have no problems w/ you or Trent.

i wasn't there- don't know how your game with steve transpired so commenting on it would be kind of unfair.

So i wont.

Evidently you have rubed him wrong in the past the few times you 2 have played . Again, at the table he can more than handle himself and doesn't need me to defend him or hold his hand.

Hope you 2 can work things out.

Steve- glad to see ya in the MS/LA region again. I guess we scared off your dad :lol: j/k I totally understand the splitting up- it happens to us nearly every tourney. Your always a tough match & a great sport.

You had a rough weekend with that car- hope it turns around for ya

ps- on the power shuffle debate- It's a legal allowed move- no reason to be complaining. It was completed before the time started- so there was nothing to complain about.
