Ice cream social?

i haven't actually won an invite from non grinder since 05, and only went to the dinner at 04 . . . but at 04, it was EPIC. it was huge and everyone was there. it was awesome to talk to people and meet some new friends.

last year's "ice cream social" was kinda weak. in the past, there have been huge dinners with music and stuff (although kinda lame music . . . no TDWP or Rise Against kinda thing *tear) and then they switch to ICE CREAM?!? i mean i guess ice cream is good in a hot place like hawaii, but that's still pretty lame imo.

That would make the most sense. The hotel was most likely really expensive to run the event at, plus if you give the fact that almost if not all of the 60 invites in each age group were given out were paid trips, makes it a really expensive event.
