Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

I'd assume this is a fake?

Doesn't look to be fake to me; text looks to be spot on, energy symbols look correct and not misshapen, and it even includes the ' over the e in Pokémon (something most fakes normally don't have).

This looks more to be a case of leaving the card exposed to sunlight for an extended period of time. Causes noticeable fading and severe discoloration to the ink that is printed on the card.

You missed the foil. The foil is not normal.

I agree with Hurricane Gaming - it looks like someone added their own foil to the image. I say the card is real but the foil is fake.

If you look at the frame next to the foil you can see some black spots where he forgot to put foil lol

Yeah I didn't pay much attention to it. After looking at it, you can clearly see a vertical "line" running across the far right side of the foil in the picture. Either way, I wouldn't buy this card for $50, not even a 1st edition one is worth that much.

A shadowless card numbered 13/130 lol.

Does anyone know the origin of these cards? I remember buying 2 charizards back in 2009, one of them had this exact same holo design. I was told they were "Orica" cards by the seller.

Orica means original cards created by fans. Some people do create their own cards -- or in this case, holo patterns -- and sell them. It's possible to create your own holos by taking nail polish remover to an existing holo card and then pasting the artwork and formatting over the holo design, too.

Hmm I was sold them under the description they were "Orica" cards, but now I am thinking they were printed and not altered by fans or an individual.

I remember someone saying that these were made for kids who couldn't afford the actual cards. They were given out so they could add them to their decks; essentially proxy cards. But I don't know if this was a rumor or fact.
