I agree with Otaku, for now we'll just use the Pokemon that are currently on the Ruby & Sapphire cards, then when Sandstorm comes out we can use those too.

Pidgeotto Trainer: SuperSaiyanEevee was the thread starter. Oh, and everyone has the game? I wonder why I haven't played my copy... or seen it... or touched it... is it invisible and intangible? -_- I should have it probably around Christmas. I will confess, I have had opportunities to buy it
but at the cost of missing out on items of more limited availability... like the TCG's cards.
I can't stop people from using said Pokemon, but since this is a board dedicated to the TCG, using the release of the TCG cards seemed a good measuring stick. I can't play anyone in Ruby/Sapphire with my older Pokemon games, but I can and likely will play people with TCG cards I don't have yet. A lot of people can't afford to buy everything when it comes out, and other may not buy games for other reasons: I want to wait until Christmas break, when I can dedicate a week's worth of time to breaking the game in. If I got it now (not that I can afford to), then I would have to resist playing it heavily until after finals.
Oh, and 7 months... what of the kids that may have to wait until the holidays or a birthday for the game? Heck, that might be how I get it (easier to ask for that or cash then for someone in my family to order a box of cards). ANd yeah, some people will have already had a birthday... but not me
Mine is December 30th, so mine won't be until after Christmas. Then there are the people who do not celebrate either...
