I'm tired of this in BR's Reports

Sorry Mods if this isn't the right place to post this but with it having to due with BR's i posted it here.

So I'm sick and tired of people posting in their reports about how people are noobs and how they suck and can't play and just plain up straight make fun of them. And for those who are like...
"Dude it's just a game, Chill out"
It's like me going up to a project you've been working on for like a few weeks/month's and just trash it and then be all like" It's just a project just redo it". The main reason i post this is because my Brother has been made fun of twice now for this and i don't think it helps a person who has never gone to a BR's or any tourny for that matter and then goes home and hops on PokeGym and sees people trashing him for just trying to have fun.

Now I think their is a difference between making fun of someone and recognizing a person with little Practice/Skill/Knowledge of the game.

Here is what i think a okay report would be:
Someone VS. someone with a fire/water deck
"This person seemed to be new so it wasn't to hard of a match and i tried to give advice but still try to win the match."

Here is what shouldn't be posted:
Someone VS. noob with some fire/water deck lol
"Lol this noob didn't know how to play so i was like laughing at him and destroyed him or something lol," Or anything including how bad he/she was.

I hope the Mods or just about anyone is with me on this and that you don't have to be mean to someone else to make yourself look better and/or feel like you accomplished something.

I don't mind if someone says the player is newer, but calling someone a newb is rude. It's bad enough if their deck didn't do so well. They don't need to know what others thought of them after the tournament too.

And that's what i mean; them being a new player is fine, i even try to help them but it isn't right for people to make fun of them for playing bad or not having some god tier 1 deck.

Preach it, S of F! Some people just play the game to have fun. And, we were all noobs once. The only reason you're not any more is because someone else was nice enough to show us how to play the game and to treat us with respect when we tried.

Agree. Of course, most Battle Roads are with Tier 2 and Tier 3 players. That's because a lot of the players with better ratings stay home. Nothing can take away that some players are better than others, but I've seen great players get crushed in Battle Roads because they didn't take it seriously.

So far this spring, I've been to 4 Battle Roads. Only at 1 did I see a field which was ultra-competitive (about seven players with higher rankings). But that doesn't mean that those players who showed up weren't ready to earn their Victory Medal.

I play to have fun, but also to win. It's not cool to say you beat a noob. But if you think it is, at least have the guts to say when you get beaten by a noob!

There is already a rule on the Gym about personal attacks; why not extend it to players you write about? I wouldn't mind seeing any tournament report that has disrespectful language toward an opponent editted and locked by the mods with an infraction. There's really no need we have to put up with this.

Thank you all for supporting this and maybe the mods will understand us to :3! I just don't get why people have to bash on other players who have worked hard on their decks, Do they get some greater feeling by doing this? If that is why they are doing it then it is pretty immature and messed up.

It's like the new player isn't worth any of their time. They feel they are superior so they just group the newer players together.

I agree with this. But there also is the type of "new" or "unexperienced" players that brag forever about one win, and then complain when they lose. Just because they got lucky.

Thank you for agreeing Randy and also dude i would appreciate it if you took the "nub" part out of your BR's report about my brother. i understand he was being immature and i'm going to have a talk about him with it, Because i understand he can be annoying xD

I agree with you, I do my absolute best to not use the word noob, or say somebody just got lucky, as soon as you think your better than the person your sitting across from, your already at a disadvantage.

A point I would also like to make, a trend I have noticed, if you look at the top players reports Fulop, Kettler, Cawthorn, etc. I rarely if ever see them use the word noobs, or even disrespectful. The people who throw the term around seem to be the win one and ton type of people.

Seth, some players can be cocky and a little overbearing and that's something you have to deal with in any competitive situation in life. However, if anyone is being downright rude and offensive to you or your brother let me know or let Chris know, it will be taken care of. Spirit of the game is the first rule, litterally.
