Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

IMPORTANT: Rulings Updates for Worlds!

Just to be clear on this, Lawman, I hope it does not sound like I am picking on you. You just happen to be the one responding. I feel that the methods used by the Rules Team to review rulings are inefficient and confused. That feeling should not be focused at you though

I'm not saying that the former ruling was a poor one. It certainly made sense based on how the cards were translated.

I don't know why Yamato did not argue harder or why PCL did not say "hey, you guys are wrong here." Maybe, as you pointed out, US rules take priority so they felt it was not their place to tell us how to play the game despite them having a better feel on how the cards interact (because the cards are native to their language).

Lawman, I've said it in my last few posts why I think the judges should have asked PCL rather than wait for PCL to speak up. If you don't understand and would like clarification, please PM me on the TPCi forums. Continuing in this thread may be a distraction to others who should be focused on seeing the ruling.

If I may interject a bit of my knowledge of Japanese culture here. A Japanese person would NEVER say, in effect, "no you are wrong" to someone who is not a very, very close acquaintance. Is this frustrating?? You bet, but it is simply part of the Japanese personna. This is part of what makes these rulings issues complex--PCL can literally be standing right there, but will probably not correct an errant US ruling.

Looker's Investigation will be played the way the US has been playing it.
In other words, you must declare how many cards you are drawing ahead of time. If you don't declare, you draw the maximum number of cards.
You do not get to draw, look, draw, look, then decide to stop drawing cards.

Why is there a new ruling on on Looker's Investigation?
