It's things like that is what Krucifier is going on about- it makes Pokemon look more like a cult than a game.

It's not so much not PG as it is disrespectful to various members on multiple levels.
That's why the warning rather than jumping straight to bans.
They should still know, but I am giving a slight benefit of the doubt.
 
What about material that is just barely PG-13 material. My sig., for example. Will someone take a look at it for me.
 
Here's a sig question. Why does the script not allow us to put images in our sigs? Most places do, and it's usually how I advertise my own place. I have some banners I made, and I pin one of them in my sig and link it to my site.

It doesn't help you stop inappropriate images, remember an admin can just take it out of a user's sig if inappropriate.
 
we made a decision long ago that images would not be allowed in sigs, as they distract from the real purpose of the forums, which are the _posts_.

^the thing i really love about the gym is the lack of images. A discrete avatar on each post is enough. Websites like Serebii and Psypoke that are overflowing with graphics between every post annoy me so much. Even on Serebii where you can turn sigs off, there is still a colour user bar based on posts which is so annoying.
 
Good for the mods for weeding out the R rated content. Honestly. how can anyone advocate letting them stay on a forum frequented by little kids? The YGO pastiche was pretty funny, and I don't think its too bad (explicitly mentions a male anotomical part explicitly once, but that's neither here nor there...)

Just not age appropriate for our forums.

Don't know why some members can't distinguish the difference between those two things.
 
I agree with what some of the others have been saying; it does come down to respect a little. If people respected the fact that this is a public forum, brought to us by people doing the work for free and as such is a resource, there would be less of this type of thing going on.

For the person who suggested a Under 12 forum... there are some kids who know some pretty bad stuff by the time they're 12 (I mean bad as in not only age-inappropriate, but actually morally dubious). It'd have to be moderated, for that (and other rather unsavoury legal reasons too)

Have I created a board in which I post R rated links? No I do not even have a board.

In my recent posts, who have I called out? In any at all?

Am I saying posting this inappropriate content is allowed? Absolutely not. Do I think what Lafonte does here is right? No. Why am I getting mobbed by a post that was describing what Lafonte does?

Have I posted anything R-rated or any movies on this site? No I have not.

Am I associated with Lafonte or any other private board? No. Like Pokegym and POP. Sure we talk but we ain't together.

Who have I called out? If I want to talk to someone I'm gonna talk to them in PM.


I'm saying that Lafonte is gonna come from time to time and mess with you. And posting a thread like this probably won't make them afraid. They're not afraid of being banned.


Who have I disrespected on this board? Have I ridiculed someone on this board. Posts and PM's are two different things. PM's are private and should not be of public knowledge.


Pokedaddy- I don't know what it is you want from me or what. You private messaged me about Nationals about peoples nuts.

Online is different than In real life. Online we're all the same I don't care if you're 10 or 48, I'm gonna respond to you the same way. We're all a name there is no age on a board. However I will not take crap that happened on an online public forum and continue it to real life. It's a completely different game. I haven't given anyone I've met at any tournaments any garbage. Players/Staff nobody. If I don't agree on something with you I'm gonna make my point clear. Real life is much different that online life- I'm sure Vince knows that we don't see eye to eye on some things but at events we're cool with eachother.


Lawman- Like I have told you previously please call me Poliwag as unfortunately we couldn't meet at Nationals or Worlds. And when we meet feel free to go on name-to-name basis.

I have no desire to threaten them or try to make them afraid.
I'm just giving fair warning, that's all.
It's a respectful thing to do, actually, rather than jump in with batons waving.
 
Yes and I appreciate what you're doing very much. The everyday members know pretty well what is allowed and what is not.
