Infernape SF+Unown G GE

This is about close combat, it increases the damage dealt to the infernape next turn, but it doesn't do damage.
So Unowng G GE should, er... would block it, right?

Not sure where you have this Unown G attached.
If on the Defending Pokemon, it doesn't matter because the effect is on Infernape and so is not blocked by Guard.

If on Infernape, it also doesn't matter because Unown G doesn't protect you from effects from your own attacks.
This is because of an errata that was issued on the card. Please check the errata section of the Compendium LvX to get familiar with errata that have been issued. If you're just coming back, you need to get familiar with all of those since players don't have to bring them to your attention!
