Important Information for Worlds Players | News | Pokemon.com
Want to know whether you’ve qualified for the World Championships via Championship Points? Here’s how you can check.
There are two ways to find out whether you have gained enough Championship Points to earn an invitation to the World Championships in Hawaii. You can perform a ranking search: select your age division and location, select “Championship Points” in the “Search Type” field, then click “Search” to see the rankings. Or, you can log in to your Pokémon Trainer Club account, click on the “My Play! Pokémon” tab, and check the Championship Points listing under “My Stats” to see your ranking number for your zone. Make sure to select the 2012 tournament season! Each zone gets a different number of invitations (see below), and if you fall within that number—for example, if you live in North America and your ranking number is 1 through 40—that means you’re qualified for Worlds!
Here’s how many invitations each zone gets per age division:
North America: 40
Europe: 50
Asia Pacific: 10
Latin America: 5
If you believe you have qualified for the World Championships based on this status check, please log in at support.pokemon.com, select “Ask a Question” from the Home tab, and then select “Worlds Confirmations” from the drop-down menu. Enter “Confirming Worlds Attendance” in the Summary line, and provide the following in the Details section:
Player ID
Full Name
Zone in which you earned your invitation
Your age division
Whether or not you will be attending
Whether or not you will require late registration
You may also be notified via email that you have qualified if we have your contact information on record already. Receipt of this email is a formality and is not required prior to confirming your attendance at Worlds.
Congratulations and good luck to everyone who has qualified and will be attending the Pokémon TCG World Championships!
