Machamp X is okay.. translation said Machamp does +60 but your opponent does +60, too.

pretty new cards shaymin for me please grass aggro FTW
also when are we looking to get these over here anyone?

I love the Gengar. First off, the Poke-Power is amazing. Whenever you KO it, it has a 50% chance to OHKO your active too. That.is.amazing. It's first attack can snipe anything with powers for 60, or 30 to anything without powers. That is a great way to get pesky Claydols off the bench. 60 with Gengar, let them KO it, send out MD Bronzong, and KO it with the body + first attack. Gengar's second attack is very nifty, but really luck based too. If you could just find a Pokemon that would let you look at your opponent's hand, then it might work decently.

Cherim and Shaymin are a nice combo. Swarm with low attack costs and dish out a solid amount each turn with the Cherim swarm.

Shaymin can be even nice as a tech in Leafeon decks. Imagine a HP 170 Leafeon L.X on the battlefield able to dish out a solid amount with Leftovers and Dawn Stadium assistance to keep the low cost tank alive.

Sableye, Gengar and the new Dusknoir line is sick too. Dusknoir is a suicide solution theme

What I like in this set so far:

Shaymin X: Evil good. That Poke-Body is very hepful and the attack is so helpful in 2 ways (energy acceleration and damage spreading).
Gengar: The Poke-Power is flippy but in my opinion is worth it. The second is attack is...surprising, and the first attack is great.
Tyranitar: It's so bad that it's good!
Sabelye: The first attack is very, very helpful. A great starter, I might add.
Salamence: It is such a good card. Your opponent is most likely going to play something with 120+ HP. So it's helpful.
Staraptor: Interesting. It's PB is okay, and an intersting first attack.
Regigigas: It's insanely good. Lets see, get all 3 regis in play (which could be hard), and it makes it easier to work. As long as you sacrifice (if you do at all) at the right time, then it works. Plus using support from the other regis can really help.

There are more, I know it, those are just some that I noticed.

Sableye is awesome, especially because of Rashness and the fact that it doesn't take Energy to Human Mimic. Gengar brings Poltergiest back in a big way, especially with Haunter's Death Wish. Speaking of which, I also <3 the Gengar line's attack and power names.

Gengar's sniping, powerful attack, free retreat, and a scary power make it a fantastic card overall.

Lumineon is a scary card and works fantastically with Gengar. It allows you to look at what your opponent's holding before you decide on an attack, it has free retreat, and a cool sniping attack that complements Gengar's pretty well. Plus, you can just kill whatever you bring on out with Lumineon's power easily since your opponent will likely be holding 2-3 Poltergiest-able cards.

Plus, Grass gets a huge, much needed boost from this set. Sceptile and Shaymin are on the rise.

Gengar could work with someone like Lumineon.
You look at hand and see if it's worth it to use gengar's attack. You could also get their starter active or a useless basic and then snipe the bench with gengar. That could be intresting.

Electrode is very intresting. Amazing damage spreading(if combined with dusknoir Lv.X and bronzong could get very nasty) and the ability to paralyze if he was attaked during your last turn.

Salamance could work very well with an eenergy accelerator like leafoen lv.X or togekiss.

Drifblim is an intresting starter.

Tyranitar is quiet powerful. His body makes it easy to power him, and both his attacks work perfectly with his power. He could be played with weavil.

Shayiman Lv.X could work very well with cards like tangrowth and sceptile. And maybe someone who returns energy to your hand?

However there are so many good and playable cards and almost every card is decent.

I wonder how it would work out if both players start out with Sabelye as a starter?
Gengar is awesome and so is the new Dusknoir.
This whole set is just so much fun :)

Steelix LV.63 – Steel – HP130
Stage 1 – Evolves from Onix

[C] Exert Strength: Choose a number of your opponent’s Pokemon, up to the number of Energy cards attached to Steelix. Then, do 20 damage to each of the chosen Pokemon. (No matter how many times you choose a Pokemon, it only takes 20 damage.)
[M][M][C][C] Iron Tail: Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 100 damage x the number of heads.

Weakness: Fire (+30)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 4

Sceptile/Shaymin won't even be a decent rogue.

Too weak attacks.

Sableye will be a decent starter.

Excuse my noobness, but what does <3 mean?

I'm blown away by some of these cards. And some of my favorite lines are actually amazing in this set. Scizor and Gengar for example. Wow. Far as I can tell, the Gengar is FAR superior to the Lumineon.

Gengar dosen't look THAT great.

I had a friend Yahoo Message me what he read how the new Gengar might be translated.....

Gengar LV.43 – Psychic – HP110
Stage 2 – Evolves from Haunter

Poke-Power: Death Sentence
You can use this Power once during your opponent’s turn, when this Pokemon’s HP is reduced to 0 by damage from an attack. Flip a coin, if heads the attacking Pokemon is Knocked Out.

[P] Shadow Loom: Place 3 damage counters on 1 of your opponent’s Pokemon. If that Pokemon has a Poke-Power, place an additional 3 damage counters.
[P][C] Poltergeist: Look at your opponent’s hand, and do 30 damage for each Trainer card, Supporter card, and Stadium card you find.

Weakness: Darkness (+30)
Resistance: Colorless (-20)
Retreat: 0

Dude.... what's not to like with a translation like that?
