I can see the clear sleeves happening here next year. When the all English rule is in effect, since the only issue with the back of the cards would be the physical condition of the card itself. Not the design on the card back.

At least that is my rational thought for hoping we get them. ; )

What about damaged back cards? It wouldn't be hard to mark the back of a card.

This is just another example where Japan's OP has a bigger budget from 2 factors. Less Players to support / More money coming in from their sales of product.

yea thats the problem with clear backed sleeves. we may get some next year. but I can't see them being tourney legal...

You aren't required to use sleeves, so they would be legal if we got them. There is no rule that says the sleeves have to be opaque either, unless you are using JPN cards.

I guess, but you can't use sleeves with a mirror like finish, so its not like sleeves are never policed
