Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Interesting deck idea

I like the decc idea... 3/3 line of Catty 4/4 Banette and 1 Gyrados*. The decc could be very versatile.

It can function as regualr banny decc potentially powering up even fast with catty's power.

Catty is a stable second attacker something banette usually doesnt have if it was facing a dark pokemon like umbreon ex.

Then it has the end all combo... Gyrados OHKO any and everything with (after a reversal) its attack. Then Catty comes with the next OHKO after they set everything up with upstream.

Its 2 Guaranteed OHKO's in a row, after the super speed of bannette running through a decc.

Or if you add Mew ex you can use both attacks in a row and get 3 ohko's in a row. Use Gyrados *'s attack, Delcatty's Attack, and Gyrados *'s attack 1 last time... Seems like it could work out pretty nicely even w/o banette ex.

the problem is powering up the gyarados =X

Let gyrados be the surprise.... Just keep attacking with mew ex using banette ex's attack. Then drop 2 more energy and begin the onslaught!!!Or stall 1 turn using Mew ex Power move and bring something like banette safe gaurd up then next turn go for the game.

it is an interesting idea
the problem is that once you lose your pokemon, that is it
all your supporters are gone, minus the ones in your hand, and getting them set back up will be next to impossible
if you can find a way to make your pokemon not die so easily, you may very well have a good deck

I suppose I should point out it's probably a good idea to have either a Farmer in your hand, or transceiver (or 2) to get a Farmer to get a few of those pokes back. Of course it's important to try to protect your pokemon, but let's face it, sooner or later one or more will be knocked out. If you are good enough, you can adjust your strategy on the fly. Depending upon one certain pokemon, or a particular card or combo of cards is not a good idea. That's why this deck is versatile enough to have more than one strategy.

Did you happen to see how some of the matchups went during the cities? I know the deck's only loss (going 3-1) was to my boom, and it wasn't a very good match as it was basically us both having bad starts and smogging each other =/ I played this deck, but didn't really get to see how it functions.

The version I was talking about was played this weekend at our CC, so I go to see a bit more of it. It runs 5 stadiums for stadium control, so gets rid of cursed stone easily, and doesn't have a problem overly to kill something with so little HP as you see in a Raieggs deck.

Yeah but the little HP Raichu can OHKO anything in your deck, and the Exeggutor can also kill your Delcatty. This is without Zapping...with Zapping a few times the Eggs can come out and kill everything also.
