~~~DLD4A VS PEACHYOTO~~~
"Nin-G8tr-Lix (ingredient Feraligatr (Exp.))
Pokemon (20)
4 Dunsparce (can’t beat it for starting)
3 Totodile (exp. - only choice)
2 Croconaw (exp.)
3 Feraligatr (exp.)
2 Nincada (dgn.- 2 leach life 1 double scratch)
2 Ninjask (dgn. - quick touch)
2 Onix (SS)
2 Steelix (Earth Rift)
Trainers (22)
3 Steven’s Advice
3 T.V. Reporter
2 P.O.R.
2 Celio’s Network
3 Rare Candy
2 Briney’s Compassion
2 Buffer Piece
2 VS Seeker
2 Island Cave (I’m running all these colors)
1 Town Volunteers
NRG (18)
4 Rnbw. (I went Rnbw. Instead of Metal because I need the versatility and Steelix’s bottom attack is not my main hitter)
4 DRE
5 water
3 grass
2 fighting
When I tried to figure out what to do with this card I focused on abusing the power and it’s attack and I wanted to make sure that I backed up it’s weakness. To abuse the power I figured I’d go with Ninjask - do 30 switch to G8tr where it’s 120 HP can absorb any attack (except Burn down of course) probably several, then use it’s power to switch to Ninjask and attack again or Briney’s to pick it up if need be. Steelix provides synergy because Earth Rift can damage all there Pokemon so that G8tr’s attack can do 70 instead of 40 and Onix provides a good cover for G8tr’s weakness. Another synergistic thing about this deck is that G8tr it’s self covers Ninjask’s and Steelix’s weakness‘."
Okay the point of this deck is to attack and disrupt your opponent using Feraligatr's Power. Early game you want to attack with Xatu to get 10 damage on your Opponent's Pokemon while you build up Feraligatr. DRE is really useful for Xatu since it places damage counters, and DRE can be used to speed up Feraligatr when needed. With Xatu putting damage on your Opponent's Pokemon Feraligatr can do 70 damage with its Rending Jaw instead of just 40."
PATRIARCH:
Dld4a:
Deck (6/10): Good ideas. However, it feels like the deck is just really split between Ninjask and Steelix. Why not just one or the other? You have a good amount of draw, and the deck seems like it'll setup. But...will it work, or get torn to pieces?
Card Use (3/5): You combo some nice stuff with Feraligatr. Not just one thing, but two! However, is card usage achieved if the usage isn't consistent?
Creativity (4/5): Hmmm, a very creative take at the card, using a variety of clever, ingenious pokes. Neat strategies that, if pulled off more practically, would make this a shoe-in for you.
OVERALL: 13/20
Peachyoto:
Deck (6/10): Strong idea, with stronger plans. However, you run a few loopy things which certainly could have been fixed to make the list really solid. 3 compassion? Oracle in a deck which easily draws into what you need? Tomb doesn't seem like the god choice either, but yeah.
Card use (2/5): I think you have a nice, clever plan with the Xatu, but the deck's card use as a whole is negated by milotic's power (rending jaws does a lot less X_X). You really waste a lot of the cards in your deck, which takes away from what's a really solid idea. If you made just straight xatu/gatr without all the lopsided goodies, this probably would have been a 3 or 4
Creativity (3/5): Nice, nice idea. It's a bit "come to mind," like the TM Claydol. However, GaTu is an ingenious deck.
OVERALL: 11/20
PWNDA:
I don't have his scoring, but I remember he gave Dld4a a 12, and Peachyoto a 15. So, at least for the time being...
Dld4a: 12/20, 13/20=12.5/20
Peachyoto: 11/20, 15/20=13/20
PEACHYOTO WINS!!!
Peachyoto:
Deck: 8/10
This is a wonderful deck, so rich in strategy. It is powerful as well. I like the combo you made a lot. Brineys might be overkill tho. Also miltoics. But xatu/gatr is sooo cool.
Creativity: 3/5
Kind of creative, but not so much, because I asked many people what they would do with this and they mentioned, "Xatu," so yeah that's what I think about that. But yeah it is up there, I would say this is a "high 3."
Card Use: 4/5
Used both the attack and the Poke-Power effectively. Excellent. Uses Feraligatr as a main attacker.
Total: 15/20
Dld4a:
Deck: 6/10
This deck, while having a good premise, isn't carried out using the best method. DRE can only support Feraligatr's attack, while you base your deck around Ninjask. You basically use Feraligatr for its "free retreat" effect, but many Pokemon have free retreat and could be better. Steelix is a rather slow way of distributing the 10 dmg as well.
Creativity: 4/5
Many interesting Pokemon, very unfrequently played.
Card use: 2/5
You didn't use Feraligatr as a main attacker, it seems like he was a poor substitute for some other free retreater that would actually work better. Or for Switches/ Balloon Berries, or Dodrio.
Total: 12/20
Awe man I missed again! I believe this is the closest match I've ever seen .5 point difference man! G8tr was not just used as a free retreater but much more so to force my opponent to switch every single turn with as little effect to me as possible. And DRE can be used on all three of my lines. Any who, congrats Peachyoto. At least I got some points for creativity this time. Thanks guys.
