After a bit of a bad beat on last Saturday's Battle Road in Downtown Dallas, I was thinking about what to run in Mckinney's battle road. I was contemplating whether many different ideas. I finally decided to use Forretress Spread on friday. On Saturday morning, I had to wake up at 4 am to get dressed and meet my ride at the train station. We get upto the Rec center at 8 am. While there my friends, George and Clay, made some suggestions to me to improve my deck. After I got my deck register, a lot of us went inot the court and shot the ball around. It helped relieved some stress for a lot of people. Well.... Here's how my battle road went.

Round 1 Daniel (Blaziken/Moltres/Rayquaza

Okay, first off, This is the third time in which we competed in the same battle road and we faced each other early. This match was weird. I was getting half my rolls with Forretress. He was getting no rolls with Rayquaza or Moltres. I was scoring knock outs with devolter. The match ended when He had 80 damage on his Rayquaza. He had his Blaziken active. I had a spiritomb active with 20 on it. I played another Spiritomb and attacked with my active to knock out the Rayquaza for my last prize.

1-0

Round 2 George (Tozicroak/Weezing)

The match started agai with me having a bad start. I was able to get my Forretress out and was hiting damage. I won by knocking out 4 pokemon in one shot. I used Forrestress to knocked out 3 of them and used Unown V to knock out the active.

2-0

Round 3 David (Kingdra)

No successful Forretress rolls... 'nuff said....

2-1

Round 4 Robb (Empoleon/Glaceon)

This game was hectic. We were going back and forth. I was slowed down by Glaceon's body. Thank goodness that Forretress Iron Shell is a body. The game went down by me knocking out his Empo LV X with Unown V.

3-1

Round 5 Clay (Kingdra/Kyogre)

This was a messed up twist of fate.... I was facing the person that I rode with. He got the jump on me with Kyogre. I was getting my rolls as well. I grabbed a few prizes with Forretress through out the match as he was use his waters to get the quick hits. I spent most of the match protecting my Forrestress. The game came down to a flip. He had 30 on his Claydol and an active Kingdra with a water on it. My forretress was my only pokemon with 40 damage on it.. It had devolutor. I attacked a basic and went for Iron Shell. If I would have gotten heads, I would have lost because he would use Dragon Pumo FTW. But I got tails placed two damage counters on all. It gave Claydol 50 and I used Devoluter FTW on Claydol.

4-1

I was a nervous wreck because I knew my resistance wasn't the best. Luckily there was enough 4-1's to have them all Top cut with the 5-0 person.

Top 4 matach Milan (Robot and a Yeti)

It took the last weekend of Battle road in a top cut for us to finally face each other. A lot of trash talk was spoken between the both of us (Friendly trash talk)

Match 1: I couldn't get the rolls I needed. I lost bad and quick.
Match 2: My Forretress's decided to be shy, along with my pokemon searchers...

I finished in fourth place and was happy with the results of this Forrestress deck.

Props
George and Clay for the ride.
Quick pace of the Tourney. Good job guys.
The worlds fastest tourney set up. GO TEAMWORK!!!!!

Flops
Not giving Milan a better match. I'll get you next time...lol

If you want the deck list of my deck PM me. I'll be glad to give it to you.

Congrats on making the cut with Forretress.

Your games were so close! (except for the top cut. All of the top cut was weird. The finals only lasted like 11 minutes lol)
