Is Empoleon any good?

22 replies and no-one has mentioned Lapras? Does Lapras rock with Empoleon or not?

I just think it looks like it could setup Empoleons so well. With it getting basic energy, you can always play tech lines along side with multi energy rest-assured with things like "I'll pull fire out if I need Magmortar". And of course, you have access to cessation crystal from the start or even just play a few Strength charms and setup extra damage for later. Just a thought.

But then your using an attack, and an energy that you could have used on setting up that empoleon..

I like lapras, I just think that with castaway still here, its not needed.

Empoleon isnt bad,but its just annoying not threatning. Its fine you have a good matchup against Magmortar,but thats really it. Gardylade has a good matchup against it,so does Blissey who has a great matchup against it.

Speed Empoleon is fun and nice to play,only one I would try playing with in States.
