I've played strait gyra since br's son.
basic list would be:
4-4 gyra (4 gyra is easyer to search out/draw into)
3 crobat (free retreat, searchable)
3-4 sableye (I have no luck so I play 3 and usialy search for em
)
1 regice (mime)
1 uxie (at least 1 searchable draw, uxie x is good here too)
claydol doesn't really work because you're gonna have a big hand holding onto rescue/ssu/turn
1 azelf (2 can work if you really want it)
1 unown g
1 or 1-1 tech (I love toxicroak g promo) (ditto is cool for mirror/gengar)
call isnt really needed because you're mainly starting with sableye and using supporters. calls are only useful early game.
cyclone is great, warp can work
if you tech promocroak, 2 psy
at least 1 basic dark
3-4 collecter
2-3 bts
1-2 rare candy (look at your metagame, if flygon is popular use a couple candys)
1-2 rose (collecters usially outweighs rose but searching energy)
4-3 felcitys (you have to draw rescues/discard carps)
2-3 bebe's (gyrados searching)
1-2 luxury ball
2-3 pokemon communicator
4 ssus
3-4 poketurns
4 rescue
1 nm/palmers (depends on how worryed you are about trainer lock)
1-2 lookers (if shuppet)
2 expert belt
yeah gyra is a great choice for citys because it can one hit jumpluffs/donphan/sp's which is sweet. It can pretty much handle everything in the format. unless tangrowth is super big lol, that hurts
