Is it normal for stores (like walmart) not to get stocked on the new set till later ?

Stores like Walmart rely on their vendors to bring the cards in, which they do at their own leisure.

It all depends on the store's vendors.
 
Yeah, it really just depends. It depends on when they decide to order product, when it comes in, when their other deliveries are, when they are restocking, when their vendors receive product, all sorts of different reasons.
 
Yeah... I usually rely on Wally World after the first few weeks of a set's release. The man in charge of the local store's vending almost never gets it on time... >_<

Oh well, there's always K Mart.
 
It seeems to be the case with Walmarts (and Targets) in my neck of the woods. Toys 'R' Us, on the other hand, usually has 'em a little early.

Target seems to get them out right away.
Walmart, on the other hand, is like a MONTH later.

Toys-R-Us is pretty Johnny-on-the-spot with the TCG stuff.

For some reason, though, I find myself buying them from Target more than any other large store.
I like the randomness of the Target and Walmart packs.

It IS possible to pull 4 LvXs with just buying 6 packs at Walmart/Target because they're not out of the same "box"

So... dude... I feel ya. I'm kinda Jones'n for that Walmart release too!
