Does anyone know how to import a DVD file into iTunes?

^ Yeah, that's old and Handbrake no longer supports internal DVD decryption. You'll need another application which makes things more complicated if you take that route.
You'll need a separate program, and then you drag or import that file it creates into iTunes which will then sync to your device. I use Magic DVD Ripper, it's not free, but it is the best option I know of that works every time. They have a free trial which lets you convert 5 DVDs so you can try it. It's amazingly simple, pretty much put the DVD in the drive, and click start. I've spent tons of time searching for free converters, and other programs, but nothing compares.
One interesting thing I noticed is that the latest DVDs often come with a free "digital copy" (ew do I hate that term... since DVDs are digital to begin with.. well anyway), those ones are already set up for iPod and other media players format so you might not even want to spend time trying to convert these.
