Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Jailbreaking is now LEGAL

For a massive majority of people, jailbreaking = install Cydia = install Installer = pirated apps.

It's a no-brainer that Apple wouldn't like that. Yes, I know Cydia has legitimate programs in it. I've used it before. But it's also perfectly reasonable for Apple to kill it all in software updates. You don't like it, don't update.

It's sort of like the R4 DS card. It has tons of legitimate, legal purposes. It's just that almost everybody that gets it uses it for illegal purposes.

That reminds me of my modified wii. I cant get the update 4.2 or it would wipe homebrew and might brick my wii :(

I used a JailBreak and then an unlock to make my iPhone 3g usable on T-Mobile.

Did it myself, not too hard.

smacktack15, Let me run the question past the powers and see if I can get some feedback for you.

Jailbreaking is legal and rightfully so, however, I think Apple should be allowed to terrorize the jailbroken iPods by offering updates that fix them... why shouldn't Apple be allowed to? You don't want your apps taken away, you don't download the updates.

I was only kidding with you :thumb: sarcasm my friend!

I actually do know most of that, I've been jailbreaking since the original iPhone until now, with most things in between. I haven't been rocking it too much lately, but I've still been doing some. I'm itching for the iPhone 4 unlock since I know it can be done, but they're waiting for the bug-free jailbreak....OMG. Can't wait

Sorry lol, I took you out of context (Im used to people challenging me :/)

I want to buy an iPhone 4 but, Worlds is in Hawaii + college + just bought an iPad means I have to get an iPhone 5 or 6 (maybe a used 4 next year).

From what I gather, commix has made a semi-jailbreak (probs tethered) that can install Cydia like any other normal jailbreak but, he is waiting until the key jailbreak development scene can update their apps and get them to run on the iPhone 4. It is kinda like when devs get the new iOS earlier then normal users. I would suspect sometime soon, maybe a month at most.

Is anyone excited for Zodttd's new fleet of emulators for the iPhone 3GS/iPad? I have PSX4all running smoothly on my iPad via a wiimote (same with N64iphone and snes4iphone) but, I am most excited about gpSPhone with wiimote support, definitely going to be cool.

IDK if I will update my iPad's firmware in Sept when iOS 4.2 (from what I gather) comes out for iPad because I already have Categories & Backgrounder/Circuitous so why would I need to update? iOS 4 is decent on an iPod but, most of those features are kinda lame on a small device.

Eeveelover: Thanks, please keep me updated

the only thing I will say is this, if you jailbreak and something happens to your phone, you are not getting anything from your warranty as the warranty will be null and void.

A quick comment from me on the posting of this info on the PokeGym:

While Jailbreaking an iPhone is now legal, discussing ROM's and Emulators is still illegal.

Let's not discuss things that are illegal and against site rules.

Keep the discussion to legal topics and we will have no problems at all with the discussions. Go the other way and topics will be closed.
