Good list. I looked at it, and went, yeah, a few people will squeak, but a solid list altogether.

Once again, he based his list on PERSONAL experience and observations.

This will spur more good lists in the future.

I woudl be fascinated by seeing lists like...best Finnish player of all time. 2nd best English player of all time (I think Sammi has the consensus, no offenses Freddy),

Many more will come forward I am sure.

Upon thinking about it, the best Junior or Senior, to be relevant has to be RIGHT NOW. That division has soooo much Fluxx, that there is no way of stating from year to year who is better. You will have years like Curran H. had winning both Nationals and Worlds that are hard ever to forget, but there have been a lot of great Juniors in the era...who are long since gone from Juniors (like Curran)

I like reading this.

Well thought out mates.

Vince

anyone interested in a german pro players list? i'd do one if there's interest.

(i'd rather write about europe, but that's kinda impossible)

Example of why it is hard to compare Seniors/Juniors against masters. Stuart Benson won Nationals and Worlds in the same year when he was 14, and proceeded to do terribly in Masters ever sense. :p ( I love you stu!!! )

100% serious. He had like 2 legit deck choices he was debating between the night before when we tested, and I stop by and see one of his games, and he has a Regigigas active. We are no longer friends.

Forget that, he only had 3 Reputation, he starts with like no cards. Good luck rushing with all 3 of your threats. Decks a joke! Kevin Nash pin-combo on the other hand...

Europe?? err in no particular order..

Sami
Miska S
Kahn Le
David B
Jasmin K

with the exception of Sami they are all new to masters and all doing very well. Jasmin is the only name that I don't think has attended worlds multiple times which of course highlights the central difficulty with any kind of outside USA assessment of players. It is just much much harder for Europeans to even get to worlds than the USA players. Harder is the $$££€€ money terms. So much harder that there are bound to be several EU players who would be on any TOPX list but for the ability to pay to go to the big event.

Esa J is definitely an European player for the list. Having top cutted worlds for multiple times, trained (with) both Finnish World Champions in his league and won everything there is to win in Finland (and most stuff in Sweden too), multiple times.

He and his brother are definitely the force behind Finnish pokémon community.

Agreed about Sami S too. Europe just doesn't make such an appearance in US other than in Worlds (and Worlds are mostly US populated too due to the flight costs) so that the player skills could be judged as effectively by a single person.

Chris I'm really getting tired of see all these, "who are the best Pokemon players of all time" I'm more interested in who you think is the best looking Pokemon players of all time. Like lets say we made a Calander, so we got 12 months. Which 12 Pokemon players would make this Calander?

The Girl from Mandeville or Covington Louisiana should get her birth month reservered for her. I think her name is LISA. When you spell the L and I toclose together you get USA.

Wait her name might be Elizabeth.

Jeeze, lets see...I think I like Jay's prompt. I think this will be an interesting task simply due to me not knowing all that many girls who play Pokemon. Let's give it a try.

January: Heather Lynch
February: Mindy Lambkee
March: Liz Simmerman
April: Tracy Key
May: Colin Moll
June: Samantha Bittinger
July: Nancy Lynch
August: Heidi Craig
September: Doreen "SD Pokemom"
October: Elissa Hill
November: Tia Toppari
December: Tatiana Miller

Ok, theres our list of beautiful PokeGirls/PokeWomen for the first ever Pokemon Calender! I'm sure this whole post is getting Mod'd right out, but hey, blame Jay, he started it!

Yeah, I think Esa could have done much better at worlds, but he has always been very unlucky there...
