Job-Hunting Help Thread

Hey everyone, I'm 15, I live in California (Concord,Vallejo area) and I was wondering if there is any jobs in my age range.
Most jobs that I know of are 16+ or 18+....
Preferred: Nothing in newspaper/delivery boy area, I'm fat/chubby xD.

Thanks for your help.

Field work during the summer is what I did at that age. Don't know about "real" jobs.

At your age, try some volunteer work if you can't find any actual jobs. You won't get paid, but you could still put it on your resume. Even if the volunteer work has nothing to do with the job you'd apply for, your potential employer will see that and think you're responsible.

Sports referee. Check with the local park districts, you'd be surprised at the age they're hiring refs for all their sports. I got my first reffing job when I turned 15, and it still remains my highest paying job per hour (I wish I'd've had more hours, tho)

What fields do you think will be big within the next 10-30 years??? I'm a freshmen in High School, and will probably look for a job soon. But for fields to go into, I was thinking of double-majoring in Accounting and Chiropactor-ness, but you make hundreds of thousands of dollars if you can DESIGN accounting software. However, I don't want to be sunk if the need for Accounting programs die down...thus wasting my college time. I;m not sure if this is off-topic or not...

Re: Long-term career options: pursue your interests. If you're not into what you're doing and just want kold hard kash your soul will slowly shrivel and your job performance will reflect your lack of enthusiasm. Unless of course your only interest is money!

Thanks!~

I'll try that.

I've also been doing volunteer work, do you need any proof that you have done any volunteer work?
Like a reference that you have done it?
And thanks again for the help.

Anybody tried working for Gamestop?
Also, I did volunteer work before, but it was back in 8th grade, so that doesn't hold much weight, does it?
