Jumpluff HGSS + Pichu HGSS

I was looking for a way to use the new Jumpluff from HGSS and one card that stood out was Pichu from the same set. The combo is pretty obvious yet I'm not sure how viable it could be. Using Pichu's attack will help you deal massive damage with Jumpluff at the risk of setting your opponent up really quickly, then ending your turn right afterwards. What do you think of this combo? Can you think of other ways to use Jumpluff effectively?

Jumpluff - Grass - 90 HP
Stage 2 Evolution - Evolves from Skiploom

[G] Group Attack: Does 10 damage times the total number of Pokemon in play (yours and your opponent’s).
[G] Leaf Guard: 30 damage. During your opponent’s next turn, any damage done to Jumpluff by attacks is reduced by 30.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: Fighting (-20)
Retreat: 0

Pichu - Lightning - 30 HP
Basic Pokemon

Poke-Body: Angelic Sleeper
If this Pokemon is Asleep, it takes no damage from attacks.

[.] Let’s Play With Everybody!: Each player may choose any number of Basic Pokemon from his or her deck and play them onto his or her Bench. A player who looked through his or her deck shuffles the deck. Pichu is now Asleep. (You play your Pokemon onto the Bench first.)

Weakness: none
Resistance: none
Retreat: 0

lol i was just thinking about that to. jumpluff/cherrim anyone? pichu is an ok combo but it ends your turn and get s your opponnent set up. i'd try runnning call and maybe using pokemon collector

#68 - Pokemon Collector - Supporter

Show up to 3 Basic Pokemon cards from your deck to your opponent, then put them in your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

You can only use 1 Supporter card during your turn. To use it, place it next to your Active Pokemon and discard it at the end of your turn.

You know that your opponent doesn't have to fill their bench right? They could just choose 2 baltoy...
Maybe use it as a suprise tech in some grass deck...IDK torterrible for example...

I love it! I'll test it. Try mesprits, they fill your bench and they lock them.

Mesprits (and all Pokemon with powers that activate when put down, for that matter) aren't able to use Psychic Bind if they're searched and played straight from your deck.

opponents will probably have at LEAST 3 bench. claydol, uxie/azelf, another attacker. with attacker out front. if you fill your bench your looking at an easy 100 for 1, expert belt for 120 and 110 HP =D. dusknoir could also be fun in here. totally try to limit their bench.

If they choose not to partake of the awesome setup chance because they are afraid of Jumpluff, so be it. You still get your pick of basics, and 1 for 70 still isn't bad at all, assuming your bench is full and they have nothing but their active.

I would never use Pichu because of the setup it allows my opponent.

Fill their bench with basics? That's insane for an SP deck that can then level up on their next turn (pretty sure).

This dude is gettin' sick-wit-it.

Jumpluff + Cherrim + Pokemon Collector?

That's hott!

I agree that a 1-1 line of Metapod HGSS is needed, but you might as well run 1 GE Butterfree. I love that card, and it can heal any of your pokemon for the damage it does, which would be great if the opponent is sniping anything.

Dude that's pro. I like the ideah. But why let your opponent set up too?

I would either run the Sweeper Jumpluff.dec w/ Cherrim SF + Expert Belt (+ PlusPower + Bucks) or Defending Jumpluff.dec w/ Cherrim AoA + Buffer Piece (+ Shaymin Lv.X + Nidoqueen).

Tangrowth SF + lv x
Cherrim AoA
Buffer Piece
Shaymin lv x
Nidoqueen

Probably would never work in a proper game, but a 190HP Tangrowth, that has a -30 resistance to attacks (Cherrim) and recovers 20 in between turns with a 50% chance of recovering another 40, is really fun.
Also, Dawn stadium.

Does 80 a turn, and 20 to two benched pokemon.

That would be so fun if you could get it set up.

I'd use Pachirisu GE as a starter.

But why Cherrim from Arceus over Cherrim SF? This Jumpluff was made for beatin' down.
