I am trying to build a consistent Jumpluff deck that can handle decks such as MagneBoar and Speed Zekrom.

POKEMON (21)
4-2-4 Jumpluff
3 Pichu
2-2 Sunflora
2-2 Yanmega

TRAINERS (29)
Trainers (9)
4 Pokemon Communication
2 Switch
3 Rare Candy
Supporters (20)
3 Professor Oak's New Theory
2 Professor Elm's Training Method
2 Judge
2 Flower Shop Lady
2 Twins
3 Pokemon Collector
3 Black Belt
3 Copycat

ENERGY (10)
8 Grass
2 Rescue

Strategy: Always keep a full bench, with 2 Jumpluffs in play so that if opponent knocks one out, you can bring out the next one and keep doing big damage to opponent. Use Sunflora to make getting multiple Jumpluffs easier. Yanmega is good for early game as well as times where you can KO back by hitting opponent for 70 with SonicBoom or 40 with Linear Attack against an opponent's damaged pokemon so that you don't have to expose Jumpluff to one-hit KO for one turn. That one turn is not trivial, because it "saves" one Jumpluff.

Finally, Black Belt are good for this deck IMO because this deck is usually behind in prizes against decks like ReshiBoar or DonChamp. It is mandatory so that you can one-hit KO Reshiram, Donphan, etc.

Comments and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

why switch? ur pokemon have 0 retreat cost, except for sunflora, but if u cant retreat it, no problem, cause u have twins or black belt.

-2 switch
-1 pichu
-1 black belt

+1-1 yanmega
+2 pluspower

4 pluspower is a must in ur deck, but since u have black belt 2 pluspower can work too, but, for example, both benchs are full, so with jumpluff u are hitting 120 damage now u think "god i need only 10 more damage to 1hko that zekrom/reshiram" in that moment pluspower saves ur day

Hi Will.

I haven't tested a HGSS-on Jumpluff, but I'd think you'd want more Items and less Supporters to speed it up. 20 Supporters seems like an awful lot! I'd add the PlusPowers and some Junk Arms to reuse the PlusPowers and get rid of those extra Supporters.

With pichu in, drop collector and run dual ball instead. Its faster and saves you a T1 supporter. With Sunflora and communication in, drop Elms.

More supporters in a deck are generally better if you had a supporter called Scott that would give more options mid to late game. I would play 4 Professor Juniper and 4 Research Record and 2 Pokemon Collector or Dual Ball.

I don't think 3 Professor Oak's New Theory and 3 Copycat is the play for speed decks, drawpower needs to be a little more aggressive.

I really like Dual Balls over Pokemon Collector. I like to maximize the chance for getting T1 Pichu. I did find Pluspower very useful. Initially, I would think smart players will not go with full Bench, so Pluspower cannot get one-hit KOs on Reshiram. However, since they still need 4-5 Pokemon on in play to function properly, I find that Black Belt + Pluspower against Emboar to be a crucial play because 6 (my side) + 4 (opponent's side) + 50 more damage = 150 damage.

Obviously, my matchup vs ReshiBoar is still terrible because of my Fire Weakness (about 30 - 70 right now). Right now, it seems like the only way I win against ReshiBoar is for them to get a slow start or having multiple Energy Retreivals prized.

I will try out other matchups and see how it does.

As for Professor Juniper, I think Juniper is not good for this deck. There are very few cards, if any, that I can give up without having them haunt me later in the game. 2x Junk Arm is fine, but Juniper is very dangerous. Even discarding something like extra Pichu may hurt, because I may wish I have that extra Pichu once one of my Jumpluff gets knocked out.

I've been playing MewPluff all season, and I love it. It gives me more space to max out defender and plus power. Jumpluff has a much better Donphan matchup however. I would try to add Defender because Leaf Guard with a Defender drop is broke.. It is great during a turn where you can't Mass Attack for OHKO, because you are generally around 30 short. By this way, is this the "She Bangs, She Bangs" guy? Glad to see you back here!!

Hey, Im not sure how much play testing you have done, but if you want to see your deck in action check out my youtube channel, I have nearly the exact deck playing against neutral tyranitar. Take a look and if you need anything let me know your list looks pretty solid.

what if u use Pokemon reversal? u could try to Ko ur opp emboar, slowing his/her strategy. Pokemon catcher will be ur best friend soon

1-1 Metapod line to remove weakness. That + Leaf Guard + Defender gives you a better chance vs. Reshiram.

OH MY GOD ARE YOU PLAYING POKEMON AGAIN, WILLIAM???

Also, I think you certainly need 4 candies and 4 junk arm. Jumpluffs are frail with only 90 hp, so you need to refresh them a lot. A defender would be a nice touch (with 4 junk arm, it's great)

You need to get a candied jumpluff asap to put pressure or else you'll fall behind. Even with black belt (which is trash, drop that), you won't catch up.
