Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Jumpluff

What do you do against a Expert Belt Torterra UL that will keep on using Giga Drain to remove 6 damage counters each turn?

The deck doesn't work without Luxray. I know the card is expensive, and not everyone is going to be able to have one...if that is the case, don't use Jumpluff. The deck loses to a lot of different matchups if this card doesn't make the list. There isn't a "substitution" for it: Thats why the card borders on being 60 dollars at the moment.

If you want a "poor man's" replacement, Infernape 4 forces a switch EVERY turn. I do realize your opponent gets to choose, but it does force that switch.

Don't let them get it out. Kill the Turtwig that will keep on using Razor Leaf for 20 damage and remove 0 damange counters every turn.

i don't imagine that a lone Torterra UL with an expert belt is a huge issue.

First of all, it takes benched pokemon such as Spiritomb, Claydol and so forth to set that up, all increasing mass attack's damage. don't ko thesse set-up pokemon, leave them in play for the +10, and just bright look turtwigs/grotles/torterras and hit them before they get set up. Even if they do set one up you'll probably be hitting for 90/100, which eventually will ko a torterra, even with the constant healing. If SOMEHOW they have a lone torterra lv x with an expert belt in play, just crobat g's toxic with grass and a multi. they won't be able to switch out without playing down another benched pooemon that could easily be ohko'd, so they have to let the Toxic Fang damage rack up every turn. This, along with the 70 from mass attack, will eventually overpower a lone Torterra. It also happens to shut off Forest Murmurs.

I haven't posted on this thread, and the thread did get old but, ruiner, i've seen you has one of the beast players on the gym no lie so keep up the good work.
