Well after a hard week of busy school work, I'm finally came back to the Gym. I have been anxiously waiting to try out a new deck with Tops EX. Above all decks that I have played, Kabutops has been the most fun and strategic card out there along with its Hydrocutter attack. So I guess I'll take a stab at a Tops deck. I don't know what I should put in with Tops and Steelix so I just threw in Delcatty.

Pokemon: (19)
3 Buried Fossil
3 Kabuto
3 Kabutops EX
3 Onix (SS)
3 Steelix (2 SS, 1 AQ)
2 Skitty
2 Delcatty (R/S)

Trainers: (24)
4 Copycat
4 Potion
3 Rare Candy
3 Oaks Research
3 Mysterious Fossil
3 Elms Training Method
3 Switch
1 Towns Volunteers

Energy:
4 Metal
2 Rainbow
11 Fighting

Good deck. I've been thinking about this idea too. I've thought about Furret for Metals instead of Delcatty but Oracle/Delcatty can get you the same thing.
Unless you play Boost I don't see why you need 3 Rare Candy + 3 Kabuto for 3 Kabutops ex. I would go with just the Kabuto since his attack is such a good starter.(Though it would be 2nd turn.)

Thx Pidgeotto Trainer, heres a list that could work....

Pokemon: (18)
3 Buried Fossil
3 Kabuto
3 Kabutops EX
3 Onix (SS)
2 Steelix (1 SS, 1 AQ)
2 Skitty
2 Delcatty (R/S)

Trainers: (25)
4 Copycat
4 Potion
4 Mysterious Fossil
3 Rare Candy
3 Oracle
3 Elms Training Method
3 Switch
1 Towns Volunteers

Energy:
4 Metal
2 Rainbow
11 Fighting

True but that wont give them full heath after an opponent is about to knock them out because both are hard to knock tops due to its hp and steelix just for being metal

I see what ya mean, Hyper Eevee.
Heres a different version with AQ Scizor.

Pokemon: (19)
3 Buried Fossil
3 Kabuto
3 Kabutops EX
3 Scyther (AQ)
2 Scizor (AQ)
2 Sentret (AQ)
2 Furret (AQ)

Trainers: (24)
4 Copycat
4 Potion
3 Rare Candy
3 Oaks Research
3 Mysterious Fossil
3 Elms Training Method
3 Switch
1 Towns Volunteers

Energy:
4 Metal
4 Rainbow
9 Fighting

Try this..

- 3 Myst Fossil
-1 Steelix AQ
-1 Onix
-2 Skitty
- 2 Delcatty
+ 3 Natu/Soothing Wave
+ 3 Xatu
+ 2 Dunsparce
+ 1 Ditto SK or Azurril
Ditto might work as a surprise on Gardevoir x. ;/

Thx for the advice, SuperSaiyan, Xatu is better to play.

Here's my Kabutops EX/ Xatu deck list. Swarming Kabutops EX and Xatu for quick healing with a free retreat cost is awesome.
SS Steelix would go good with K-Tops with the Grass resistance to counter Sceptile etc., but with Ampharos EX decks popping up, Steelix wouldn't be much of help against the Steel resistance. In addition, the Skyridge Natu is pretty good to put in with it's second attack.

Pokemon: (17)
3 Buried Fossil
3 Kabuto
3 Kabutops EX
2 SS Natu
1 SK Natu
3 SS Xatu
2 SS Zangoose

Trainers: (24)
4 Potion
3 Copycat
3 Rare Candy
3 Oaks Research
3 Elms Training Method
3 Switch
2 TV Reporter
2 Mysterious Fossil
1 Towns Volunteers

Energy: (19)
3 Rainbow
6 Psychic
10 Fighting

Espeon would work, but I want to focus around swarming K-Top's EX and Xatu's healing for backup.
Also, I forgot about Multi Energy for both types of energy. Thx APT :thumb:

Wow, there's a lot of stuff to put in an K-tops deck. :D

So here's an updated deck list...

Pokemon: (17)
3 Buried Fossil
3 Kabuto
3 Kabutops EX
2 SS Natu
1 SK Natu
3 SS Xatu
2 SS Zangoose

Trainers: (25)
4 Potion
3 Rare Candy
3 Oaks Research
3 Elms Training Method
3 Switch
3 TV Reporter
2 Copycat
2 Mysterious Fossil
2 Underground Lake

Energy: (18)
3 Multi Energy
6 Psychic
9 Fighting

Yes, but you've gotta watch for Wobbuffet amd Shedinja as they'll pretty much stop Kabutops ex and Xatu is weak to [P]. I would recommend at least oine Wobbuffet as you can counter enemy Wobbuffets. Other than that pretty solid deck!
