I was looking around for a draft idea for RR, and I think I found it.

Kecleon has a poke-body that makes him all types at all times. At first I thought this was just a gimmicky thing to make him cool, but then I realized it means he always hits for super effective...ness.

I plan on combining this with Lucario GL to give everyone x2 weakness.

This means that after calculating weakness, his attack will be:

20+
Flip three coins, this attack does an additional 40 for each heads.

With upper energy, special darks, and special metals, kecleon's problems are solved.
Reduced damage from special metal
Further increased damage from special dark
Reduces energy cost with upper energy

Also, Lucario is not a bad attacker, and I'll draft other steel types (Jirachi, Aggron, Steelix)

I might also attempt making this into an actual deck afterwards, just because it would be fun to play XD

What do you guys think? How could I improve this strategy as a draft deck? What are some other possible draft deck ideas?
 
The idea is cool, but AFAIK, it also means that every Pokemon that has a resistance takes resistance from Kecleon.
 
Yeah, I anticipated that, but with the x2 weakness, and the special energies, the advantages weigh out the disadvantages. In my opinion, anyway.
 
you could also add shaymin for an extra 40 hp ;P
or mothim for resistance (ehh)
or sunyshore for no weakness etc. etc. =]

Takes away your weakness and allows you to go though resistance
 
^sunnyshore gym is what your thinking about. it sounds like a fun deck but a lot of things kill it... dialga G locks bodys, shiftry makes you do 20 max, and it only has 90 HP.
 
Dialga does wall it, but we have the over 9000 Flygon decks to make playing him weary, at least IMO.

If you run it with Shaymin Lv.X, Darkrai Lv.X and Sunyshore Gym, you have a basic Pokemon with 130HP, that hits for 90+ and has no weakness. Add in some Floatzel GL and <3
 
Solrock and Lunatone from GE make you not affected by resistance since you're [F] and [P] type. You could also get a little draw power from Lunatone. That way you don't have to use Sunnyshore to remove Resistance and you're free to use some other stadium like Snowpoint.

Throw in a Flintzong engine, Weavile SW, or some other form of energy accel and I think we could be looking at a new rogue here. Good job at pointing this out,
 
Cool card, but Isn't it a body? I can't be sure but if it is Dialga G lv.x will destroy it. Mothim stops resistence by the way. Also Cherrim and Shaymin will help.

How many energy does it need to attack?
 
I really hope to pull this guy at a Prerelease, together with Sunnyshore City Gym (to avoid resistance) and a few Special Darkness. ;)

It's a nice Pokémon, but rather for fun and not for competitive play. Too bad it's not an SP-Pokémon, that would make it playable because of Energy Gain and Dialga G Lv.X immunity.
 
It would be hilarious if anybody could get this thing set up at a PR, with Lucario GL, Special Darks and Sunnyshore.

he's adding the Lucario GL lake boundary affect. meaning 10x2 base, + 20x2 per heads. it's a fun concept. you could Rayquaza/Stark Mountain over the energy. as stated Dialga G hurts him, machamp donks him, but it'd be a nice little fun deck for the gap b/w worlds and fall BRs.
 
Just watch out for Shiftry at the pre-release.

This would make a fun BR deck. With Shaymin lv X and Snowpoint you could have a mighty Kecleon indeed.
 
Thanks for all the replies! I've gotten some new ideas with the level X's.
I plan to run a Floatzel deck, so I should have that level X, and Darkrai couldn't be all too hard to get. I don't think Weavile is necessary though.

I totally forgot about stadiums as well. Kecleon will be affected by Dawn Stadium, won't be affected by Miasma Valley, and will get a free retreat from Moonlight. I think this idea is coming together :D
