This is just an average Kingdra deck. Please post any suggestions

Pokemon
4-3-4 Kingdra LA
2-2 Claydol GE
1-0-1 Alakazam MT

T/S/S
4 Bebe
4 Rosie's
4 Rare Candy
4 Poke Drawer
4 Plus Power
3 BTS
2 Cynthia's
2 Warp Point
2 NM
1 Luxury Ball

Energy
13 Water

i play kingdra as my main deck and i play the ball engine, it works quite nicely for straight kingdra, i came in 3rd at the cities i went to, and went 4-2 at states, so maybe you shoul try balls instead.

I would put in another stadium to take out the BTS when you are done. No need to add HP for you to have to over come. You could go down to 1 Night Maintenance or drop the Poke Drawer line and add in some tech energy so you can at least have a chance to attack with the other pokes.

- 4 Drawer
+ 1 Dawn Stadium
+ 1 Psy energy
+1 Fighting Energy
+ 1 Multi Energy

Adding these energies can hit the weakness of the G Decks and one shot them since they are 2X weak.

But Claydol takes two turns to charge and Alakazam three, it's better to just have a good Kingdra deck.

This is very solid build, one of the best I've seen on the 'Gym in a while.

Alakazm, if set up, could work well in the Palkia G matchup - Cancel their Psychic Binds, or Lost Cyclones, could be crucial. If that doesn't work for you:

-1 NM
-1-0-1 Alakazam
-1 Water
+4 SSU

Abuse BTS and cheap attack costs, remove status conditions, hurt spread, etc.

I know the point of the deck my son has won tournements with the deck. He also lost some in the early builds due to not having a fighting energy. Why not give yourself a chance if you do not set up or you prize 2 or 3 kindras. Give yourself a plan B. I have played against the g decks (which have made an impressive statement so far at states) and the energy to have a OHKOs is big. 60 damage to a G pokemon just lets them poke turn and reuse the energy gain. A OHKO takes out of play the energy gain and lets you set up your advantage.

He asked for any suggestions and I gave mine. Why act as if I don't know what I am talking about? Especially when you haven't contributed to his request? If he wants to be one dimensional then let him decide. I never send a pokemon into a fight without the energy to attack. You go ahead and use this one for States and get ate up by those g pokemon wishing you had a fighting energy to KO the sunktank or two of those purple energies so you could KO 2 Tokicroaks for one Alakazam.

I stand by my suggestions.

Or you could retain the overall synergy, speed, and get out multiple Kingdras.

You know the part of Dragon Pump where you can put twenty on a bench? That puts everything they throw at you in a standard Galactic deck within OHKO range (and Palkia/Dialga you don't have type advantage on). Albeit, you have to Toxicroak for Pluspowers. Another efficient way to do things is to actually use Alakazam's Power Cancel and get him set up fast.

Two Cancels, Two Dragon Pumps. Eight in discard. Retreat to your Kingdra, pull up another one, Aqua Stream. OHKO Toxicroak.

But as I've stated before, Spreading twenties with Dragon Pump makes it that much easier, when they have to blow a 'Turn to heal twenty to avoid getting OHKO'd.

Aqua Stream is your plan B.

However, if you're fanatically dead-set on teching against Galactic:

Uxie X helps you against Machamp and Toxicroak, OHKO'ing or nearly OHKO'ing both.
Mewtwo X (for the 120) and Azelf MT, Mesprit LA are also some techs, I frankly think that both of them ruin the consistency of the deck (one in requiring you to run Psychics which you can't use to Aqua Stream - your plan B, the other requiring you to eat up bench space, which begs for the Lost Cyclone in the Palkia Matchup, or Dark Palm wherever that's teched in).

As for Alakazam: Crobat, Turn, Crobat, Weavile G with six SPs in play and one Sp. Dark attached finished it off - more doable than you'd think.

Someone else referenced the ball engine. I'd wholeheartedly support it in the littler divisions, where Kingdra is played more for it's donk than it's late-game capabilities, but in older player's builds you'll want more "tricks" if you will to help shore up matchups.

So I have, in both posted, contributed to his request.

And as a final aside, if I'm ever in a situation where the ONLY option I have to pull up is an Alakazam or a Claydol to attack with, I've already lost that match.

Prodical Fanboy my statement was not directed at you I was slow to type put my post and you got one in before I finished. You have contributed with good points. The cleric is who I was refering to no contribution and making statements as if I know nothing of which I type.

Yes the Uxie is a good tech for many matchups. I run a 1-1 uxie in our Kingdra decks but the only thing I could see to take out of his deck with the changes I suggested would be the Cynthia's so I left it off.

We are now just discussing playing style. I prefer having several outs and you prefer hitting hard and not stopping. Both work. Niether one is wrong unless your style is oposite of the one you choose.

You should consider dropping a card for a second Uxie.

2-1 Uxie works wonders. T1 Kingdra and Claydol, yes please.

If you want outs you should consider 2-2 Cresselia Lv. X.

Helps the mirror, Gigas, spread, G in general, can scoop up two prizes in a single turn.

I'd attack with that before 'Kazam.
