Kingdra needs help beating AMU

Okay. so this is the Kingdra deck that I run and it's doing incredibly well (I've haven't not placed in a cities so far) but i'm having trouble with someone who plays AMU really well. So can you please post some strategy that might help me out

Because it turns kingdra dark which is dusknoirs weakness and alot of people play bellossom where i am so weavile gets rid of resisstence
 
you should add a spiritomb tech just to help nock out pixies and duskulls when they are on the bench.
 
Yeah gengar is weak too. Spiritomb sounds like a good idea. That way i can one shot all of the basics. and hit the lv. Xs for knock out when they already have the 20 on them.


So are there any other real strategies against AMU. What is the strategy for AMU?

Spiritomb only helps OHKO the AMU basics assuming that they don't level up, unless you also put twenty on each one with your super dragon pump.
 
If you see a good number of AMU decks or are always matched up against one in the finals of tournaments you could always tech in a 1-1 Mewtwo Lvl X and a couple of psychic energies.

well i would try to stop amu by adding a counter stadium so you could ko their pixies easyer when there not playing a snowpoint a woild add some pp too
 
as an AMU player i look at your decklist and i see uxie and lunatone as two extremely cheap prizes for me to take at some point during the game (both are easy prey for palkia x/restructure and uxie x's zen blade). and since you cannot OHKO uxie lvl x as easily, i'll just get it back to the bench where it will take two or three addition +20 hits from dragon pump to KO it. and that's only if i don't get a chance to use mespirit x's healing bell.

anyhow the point is, almost any game that isn't a donk by kingdra is going to be 4 prizes for AMU to your six and i would take those odds every time. i would find room for a third seadra and if you really want a basic to help you discard, switch lunatone for regice.
 
Can you say 1-1 Mewtwo Lv.X? I would go minus 1 Felicity's and 1 Cynthia's plus the Mewtwo X line. Then minus 2 Water and plus 2 Psychic. Mewtwo is pretty much the only thing that completely shuts down the fairys, it's not perfect but it should help.

If you're only worried about AMU then a good tech in the deck might be a 1-1 line of Dusknoir DP for the Dark Palm power. AMU decks need all 3 of the pixies in play at all times in order to use Mesprits God Blast and the Dusknoir is helpful.

Are they just playing straight AMU or are they playing it with Leafeon Lv. X?
 
1-1 mewtwo would do nothing for this deck but take up space. mewtwo level x is only dangerous to AMU if it can charge up and fight. this deck runs zero psychic energy. as a stall mewtwo is about as bad as mr mime, all the AMU player has to do is restructure with palkia/warp point and clobber away like it wasn't there. dark palm dusknoir isn't much better, all it has going for it is its pokepower. it is only useful against an undisciplined AMU player. dusknoir cannot fight, again a smart AMU player will either drag it active (where with a three retreat cost it will take forever to retreat) and snipe with azelf lvl x or shoot it down with a de-evolutor (wasting a precious rare candy).
 
This deck seriously doesn't need Weavile. Kingdra should have a pretty good Dusknoir/Gengar matchup as it is, and any really really good players you would need to worry about who are playing it are going to be running Azelf Lv. X anyways (and if they aren't I don't know how they expect to win with all the Tyranitar about).
