Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Library of Competitive Decks: DP-UL *Updated with new sets and set abbreviation key!*

Based on what won cities (so far) http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=87309, I would have to say that we are looking at :

1. Kindra
2. Gengar/Dusknoir
3. Gengar
4. Dusknoir
5 Machamp
6. TTar
7. Torterra/Septile
8. AMU
9. Scizor
10. Reggigigas

The top 6 spots seem to be pretty clear. I think we have to see more results before the top 10 are rounded out. I think that the first post needs to add a TTar deck. I couldn't a find a good TTar thread but their is a pretty good list in this post http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=87530&highlight=Tyranitar

Magtran isn't tier placing material? I really think it is. The auto lock of most powers with a 3 damage counter burn and 100 to anything is really nice.

example

3-3-1 magmortar lv. x
2-2 heatran lv x(make sure to use pop 8 heatran)
2-2 rapidash sf
2-2 claydol
1 azelf
2 unown g

HEAD'S UP ... G&G is making a comeback using Weaville / Gardevoir.

It's doing very well whenever played.

I'd just call it "DARK G&G" as a reference to Weaville's Dark Engage and Shadow Charge useage within the deck's strategy.

Why wouldn't you use the Gengar from DP? You could get an auto KO with Life Drain for one Energy. I think that's worth a tech in a deck that doesn't have a lot of force that doesn't involve dying.

Hello everybody.

I'm going to do a seriously big do-over of this thread. I'm going to completely redo it.

If anyone would like to help, the help would be very much appreciated. Thanks to everybody who has helepd with this so far.

I would also like to apologize to the Moderators. You were nice enough to put this on a sticky thread and I've just let it die. I'm sorry about all that - I was busy though.

Thanks for your time,

LL

Wow, Great job on the update. Very accurate. This will probably help eliminate some of the "WHATS ______ DO PLX HELP THX" Threads. :D

Cool update. There are a number of rogue-ish things I would add to this list, but overall I think you hit the bases nicely.

Oh, but you misspelled Regigigas as "Regigas" everywhere. Might want to fix that. ;)

OK folks, I'm going to make a big push to update the Encyclopedia nicely. I'm also considering changing the name back to Library of Modified Decks. I haven't updated recently because I was taking a break from pokemon.

Thanks,

LL

Very nice to see this updated. Good work

Only things, i'd remove Shuckle SW from the Gliscor list. Spiritomb is the main switcher, with occasional Mime usage. I've even seen a Shedinja SV used a few times, but Shuckle doesn't really help the deck.

And the Dialga section is totally wrong. Dialga tank uses Expert Belt and 4 Sp. Metals. You get a 140 HP tank, reducing 40 and doing 30 while locking in a stadium (often Galactic's HQ) With Skuntank G, you can brign the total damage up to 50 by your next turn. When Dialga is damaged to a point it needs healing, Warp Energy is used to send it to the bench without using a PokeTurn or losing any energy. Then you utilize Bronzong G's Galactic Switch to move the Warp Energy to Garchomp C, adn level it up, Healing Breath then removes all damage on Dialga (and the Broznong you hurt with GS0, and you then proceed to PokeTurn Garchomp back for further use of its healing power and the Warp Energy you picked up.

Some varients do use Luxray to do this all to Claydol, but it isn't as neccisary or useful, as you need to be PokeTurning Garchomp. Second Strike is highly usable in the deck, as is Remove Lost, but a lock can often times be more worthwhile.

:thumb:Thanks for linking to my Gengar spread deck!:thumb:

Ninetales MT is used in SP to OHKO Mewtwo Lv.X too. (i'd say more so than Dialga)
Promocroak needs a mention

You mention Kingdra and Speedrill, two decks that are hammered by the predominant trainer lock in this format, but not GG?
