Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

List of 2013 States/Provincials

Maryland States is March 16th. We did everything we could to coordinate with other States but no matter which weekend we would have chosen we would have competed with a nearby State. We also had to take into consideration what weekend we could book a venue and when staff were available. We worked very hard not to match Virginia as a great deal of our player base crosses over and I borrow staff from them. As it is the following weekend is NJ and we would have had complaints if we had been on the same day as them as well.

The website for Da-Planet, the event host for Hawaii's State Championship, previously listed their tournament as occurring on March 16th. But now, the same website says the event will be on Sunday, March 10th. I'm not sure if that's right, but I bet Hawaiian players know what's going on better than I do. For now, I'm moving them back into the "Not Known" category, until I can get some confirmation from another source.

I have a question, do you have to preregister for MD states, because last year I wanted to go, but they said I couldnt play, because I didnt preregister. I wanted to know if its the same this year, because I dont want to miss out this year.

Hawaii can probably run their States whenever the heck they want. They've done it on Sunday a couple of times before. Remember: nobody can drive there from other states, and even internal to the state, there's probably a decent amount of players that can't drive to the tournament due to the multiple islands out there.

There also aren't useful overnight flights such that, if you whiffed a Saturday states, you could standby your way there for Sunday morning. (I might have missed something, but yes, I checked.)

TAndrewT please update the link for North & South Carolina web site links to the below.
These are from my web site with the full details of these State Championships.
Thanks!!!

Deal, but only if you tell me when and where Kentucky States is going to be.

Just kidding. Mostly.

P.S. to thread followers: At the beginning, some of the early "sources" I linked to were just PokeGym posts by TO's saying, "It will be on this or that weekend," but didn't give info on the tourney. Those have now all been replaced; every tourney except Kentucky's now has full info available by clicking on the link.
