lost remover?

what do you guys think about this card? any possibility it will see play? its a decent card, and it can disrupt a few decks. kinda useless against zps or reshiboar if they dont run dce/specials. i know it counters machamp though.

I don't think its worth the space unless your meta is filled with Donchamp. Most of the future top decks Magneboar, Reshiboar, and Zek will not use special energy most of the time.

If Pokemon had a Sideboard I would run this. But currently it's just one of those good cards that's not really good enough for play, like Energy Exchanger.

same as i was thinking. in the group of friends i play with, only 2 people actually depend on special energies, and thats the two donchamp decks. everything else is reshiboar or zps type things. hoping this card blows up, i'd like to use it

Cheezy is right. If the new sets come out with an amazing Dark, Metal, or a Pokemon that needs a DCE, Lost Remover could be a counter to those decks.

Was Lost Remover good in the last format??

I thought it was great last format. In a non-mirror match situation, when there was no perceived snipe-threat, I ran up against several Luxchomp players who attached a DCE to their benched Garchomp C... preparing for a future Dragon Rush.

Losing a DCE in that situation was like losing a prize. The bonus came in the form of the energy being sent to the lost zone, not just the discard where it might be possible to get it back, but the lost zone.

With Flowershop Girl and Revive acting as the format's recovery, Rescue Energy will probably see more play, and will therein be more susceptible.

Great card.

???

Why would they attach to benched Chomp when they know it can get Rushed out of nowhere...or Bright Looked + Mach Blowed...

He probably wasn't playing Luxchomp, so they probably got cocky.

Either that, or they just sucked.

I think it will see some play if they introduce better/more special energy cards. Lost Remover was certainly underrated last format, but I think it did not see too much play because it came into the game so late and other cards were just considered better/more needed.

^^^ He's right. It was such a good card, but since it was so situational, it just didn't get much play. I teched it into my Gyarados list for Regionals, and it worked wonders. (I ended up getting 4th in that tournament)

The only special energy you can count on being played is DCE and rescue. Although removing a rescue can be interesting, you'll only really be discarding DCE off of machamps. If you discard off zoroark and cinccino it really doesnt matter because you kill them 1 hit anyway.
