Lost remover

I am starting to really like the idea of the card lost remover as a tech in any deck. Decks are starting to play DCE and Rainbow energy a lot. I believe having a way to remove their energy can really set them back and give you some breathing room as well as disruption. I would like to know other players opinions on this card as a tech in our format?

If I have a spare slot in a consistent deck, Lost Remover is always one of the first cards I look at. With almost every deck running special energies, it can be a potent surprise.

The biggest reason to play LR is that people have dismissed it. They will not be prepared for it, and will not alter their game plan because they are expecting it. Consider a player who plays, say, Cinccino/Donphan/Yanmega. They have DCE on Cinccino and Rainbows on Donphan and Yanmega. You LR and Junk Arm it twice to wipe the energy off their field.

Overall, a very underrated card.

Thank you haha. i agree completly. i play donphan zoroark yanmega with a single bouffalant in the deck. i decided to play 4 dce instead of the 3 that i needed. but most players only play just the right amount of energy. like a deck that has 2 zoroard in it they may play only 2 dce. you LR those 2 dce and they just lost 2 attackers. also with you only having a limited amount of special energy cards that can be played using LR can set an oppenant back multiple turns

now that you mention it that card could be quite usfeul considering must decks have atlest 3 DCE or will (cincino, machamp, beartic, or a Zoroak or bouffalant tech) usaully all have DCE, then there are many other decks tha use rainbow energy. Considering nobody gives thought about this card it coul be a nice surprise that may leave them unable to attack next turn(not enough energy).

The problem that come sup most now is that Reversal has become such a better option. The ability to chose a KO is more highly regarded than throwing away 1 energy. Let's consider againt hat Cinccino/Donphan/Yanmega player. His Yanmega don't need energy, his DOnphan can use 1 fighting, only Cinccino feels a little bummed out about losing a DCE, and wouldn't you rather KO a 90 HP Pokemon with a 2 cost attack than try and Lost Remover stall it out? There are just too many decks that either don't use or don't need the special energy count to really fully utilize it, and some of the popular ones that do run Vileplume anyway.

Well i play 4 reversal anyways. The thought of lost remover would be if you dont have a knock out for the turn or are in a stitch then reversale up something with DCE and ther remove it. Or for certain decks that only play 1 or 2 dce then removing one just completly lost one of their attackers meaning more than likely they will have to send up that dead pokemon later on as their active to keep loaded attackers alive and that means you have an easy prize that turn

I can't think of any decks that only run 1 DCE; most run at least 3.

Lost Remover is a fairly good card, it's just that there are much better options for most decks right now. The only deck that actually relies on DCE for its attacks are Stage 1's (Zoroark/Cinccino) but Cinccino is rarely run and Zoroark has really low attack costs with Yanmega attacking for free.

DCE is really hardly more than a tech for outrage in Reshiram and Zekrom, PrimeTime and Yanmega/Kingdra don't usually run it; the most they run is Rescue but that will be on Yanmega so they won't miss it too much.

you dont need to be taking a knock out every turn

sometimes its better to stall you opponet and set up u cant not do a play cause u dont get a knick out

those times u chose a guy u could knock out instead of emboar are why i won

u bring up emboar i either burn 4 energy or dig for switch

lost remover is a good card but its in the wrong format its not good

Back in the old days my standard trainer entourage consisted of 4 switch, 4 gust of wind, 4 energy remover, and 4 super energy remover. Then came the no energy removal gym. Is anyone doing unlimited format tournaments?
