Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Lucarikrow!!!

First of all, it was never called SNIPER, and those worked together because they had the synergy of spreading damage like heck. What synergy does Lucario and Honchkrow have?

Actually, now that I looked back on things...

What really screws Honchkrow up? Claydol's power. Bah, Cessation Crystal it. What does it matter if Claydol can restore hands if you just snipe it to death?
Magmortar sniping against you.

AAAAH, that last one is quite a legitimate concern. What can counter Magmortar? Hm...

Well, disregaring Magmortar for the time being... How does the deck do against Gardevoir/Gallade? Actually not too bad... Especially since Honchkrow requires an extra prize to be flipped for the KO, while you add Dark Energies to smack it back for good damage. If they try to Sonic Blade you, you've just gotten a free turn to whip out a new Murkrow. Fun.
What about Electric decks? Well... Nothing comes out to help Electric types deal damage in GE, so your only threats are Ampharos, Electivire, and Electrode. Electrode hands you a free prize when it attacks, Electivire can deal no damage if your opponent's as unlucky as I am, and Ampharos is a stage 2. Also considering how little play those pokemon see, I wouldn't fear too much about Honchkrow's "Weakness", though Electivire LV.X is HIGHLY scary.

So. It seems like Magmortar's the one legitimate concern to a Honchkrow deck that needs to be answered. Lucario... I don't think could actually counter Magmortar. Empoleon's IFFY, especially since it can't OHKO Magmortar unless you use the LV.X's attack (though Premier Ball gets to be amazing in such a list). Perhaps a new water type...? What if we use something... REALLY abstract? Something no one in their right mind would think of?
...Does Swampert GE restrict the energy it can pull to the active to only basic fighting and water, or to any energy that can provide those types? If the latter's true... Yank DREs off of some Honchkrows onto another, scoop it up, have an energy accelerating alternative EX, have a damage spreading stage 1 (though at high energy cost), have a snipe immune basic...

If you're considering ideas like the Lucario and Empoleon, why wouldn't Swampert work? Heck, now I'm intrigued by it... (could such a mess EVER get set up? Good questions...)

Blastoise SW is AWESOME. I play it straight with Smergle. It works very well, with 4 Holon circle and 2 Scramble. Water Log 5 energy for 90 damage, kills Mag, I like!!! But that would not work with Honchkrow though!
