Strategy: Start with Solrock and discard with Gravity Change to get fire in the discard and Sol Charge to Magmortor. Energy Search for T1 Fighting energy for Solrock.

the energy required to use sol charge would never be consistant in a magmortar deck. there's a lot of other good things to play lunasol with. there's even a thread about it on this forum.
 
I have a Burmy deck that uses this strat.
I dont think magmortar would benifit from not being able to attack or heal 20 hp if a F energy was attached ..maybe 1 multi for a F
 
Lunarock = good; magmortar w/out typhlosion = not so much. Try this:

-2 strength charm
+3 rare candy
-1 magmar
-3 great ball
-2 fire(you recycle enough, 17 would be overkill)
+2-1-2 line of typhlosion
should have extremely good energy accel. now.

And why 2 lunatone? I find 1 is enough, as I use it in my claynette deck.
