I am not just going from the national champions list. I am going from extensive testing with skilled players. And where did LuxApe show at worlds at all?
It didn't do as well at worlds as it was expected.
Dialga G brings in a 3rd type that is not necessary for a deck, especially when there is an alternate that stays on type and provides more help in multiple matchups.
And who are YOU to slam a player for expressing his opinion?
I made top 16 at worlds as well as top 64 at nationals with my list. In a tournament, I have never lost to flygon varients, gengar, nor the mirror.
I play no claydol, no ninetails, no toxicroak.
I do play dialga, pachirisu, uxie x, and lucario.
Dialga is very very good. I have no idea what you see is so wrong with it. It provides your mewtwo counter without having to play bebe's to pull out ninetails. In fact most players will not even attempt to set a mewtwo up as soon as they see a basic dialga hit the field. Against nearly the entire format, it provides a great staller. I do not consider a dialga a bad start. All you need is a cyrus to go with it and you shut down your opponent turn 1. Its not that hard to slide in a single basic metal. Also, if turn 2, your opponent has one basic, you can easiky donk them. It doesn't really offer another type considering it's primary purpose isn't attacking. It's to shut down bodies which include Mewtwo's, Flygon's, Machamp X's, and Nidoqueen. Your argument for offering another type really is mute considering people play Uxie, Claydol, Ninetails, and Bronzong. Dialga is also not hard to get out of the active position. All it takes is a warp point or an attachment and a Galactic switch.

Flygon is taken care of with a split bomb on the trapinches which puts you within killing range with infernape. You slow down their oppertunity to get the level X out fast by killing claydol early.
