The main strategy is to use Jumpluff's mass attack to knock out Claydols or Benched Gengars. Luxray helps against Cursegar and Gyarados. Spiritomb is for SP matches where I can never get set up. 2 Should be enough with call. I think Luxray gets rid of some of the problems it has, but I'm not sure if it helps enough against Gyarados and Cursegar. I liked Jumpluff from the start and, I want to try it out again. Thanks.

you run 17 trainers with spiritomb....i smell bad synergy.
And how many of those would you potentially use on the first couple turns of the game? Maybe the Warp Point..that's it.

But I wouldn't use spiritomb in the deck. In Jumpluff you can use a much better starter to get you the basics you need to fill up your bench and do more damage.

....Rare Candy?

I don't see why you're not running collector or communications...

Try -1 Luxray GL X +1 Unown Q??? Maybe since it gives your Spiritombs free retreat so you can still use your trainers. Don't really need 2 lux X since 1 will do the job just as well

Rare candy too but you can just retreat and use it when you're ready..it doesn't matter for spiritomb..Plox and cursegar use both fairly easy.

lol....the synergy is different, lol. Plox and Gengar are not turbo decks while Jumpluff is...it relies on setting up fast, while gengar can take a couple more turns...same with plox. Why waste resources when you could set up a turn faster and start taking prizes.

Well obviously I said Spiritomb wasn't the play..but that's not because he runs trainers is all I'm saying...it's because you want a better starter(Pachi) to get you basics for a turn or two before you start to attack.

Collector could provide useful, but getting that energy with roseannes is more important. Communicator is something you put in with extra space. It's not really a must. Once I get an early Claydol up with Spiritomb I can get what I need for my bench. Also, what important trainers will I need when spiritomb is active. I see a lot of SP in my area, and it will also help the Gyarados matchup. I am going to test this deck on sunday so I'll test out some of the changes everyone. Jumpluff may seem to be a turbo deck, but with my luck I need Spiritomb. Maybe I'll add a pachi to use after spiritomb, but that might take too long.

I like running Cyrus's Conspiracy to get your Poketurns, and an Energy Gain or two doesn't hurt to have in case you have to attack with Luxray GL Lv. X. I won a States with Jumpluff/Luxray; here's my list:

4-2-4 Jumpluff
2-2 Luxray GL
2-2 Claydol
2 Uxie
1 Unown G
1 Crobat G

4 Rare Candy
4 Pokemon Communication
3 Cyrus's Conspiracy
4 Poketurn
2 Energy Gain
2 Bebe's Search
4 Roseanne's Research
1 Cynthia's Feelings
2 BTS
1 Palmer's Contribution
1 Night Maintenance

4 Call Energy
4 Grass Energy
2 Lightning Energy

Try that and see what you think.

Happiny13, I've seen what you said about Spiritomb and SP decks in your metagame, and I do think that Spiritomb might be a good idea, but if you can get up a Jumpluff and a full bench faster than they can get set up, they are in for a rough game.
