Machamp, Seniors?

Deck Bocks

New Member
Hi, I was wandering how much SP will get played in seniors, as I watch alot of videos, read articles, tournament reports, etc. and they all go on about how much SP will get played and how good it is, but they're all about masters, , and because the nearest city championships are like a 3 hour drive, I cant realy go to many and I won't have chance to see what evryone's playing, so I was wandering if it's worth me playing Machamp?

Thanks, and I hope that this made sense

The people best placed to answer your question are the British seniors that you just mass-insulted.

I'm doubtful that you'll get any helpful replies.

If you make an espcially donky-ish Champ list it's good against just about anything, including SP.

I believe it still gets played a lot in Seniors.

This hits the nail on the head. 99.9% is pretty harsh, especially considering you haven't played in a tournament for 2 years. Most of the people you knew have aged up, it would look alot different now. From what I see at tournaments, most run meta decks anyway.

The last tournament I went to (around a month ago) keep in mind it was a BR, not a high up tournament, at least 50% were running SP, probably more. So no, not 99.99%. Not even close. Expect a lot more for a CC. Yeah, I'm a british senior, I go to tournaments very often, so I'd know all of this pretty well.

EDIT: I agree with David, I was pretty offended, and besides, it was definatly wrong anyways. And you haven't been to a tournament in like 2 years.

if there is one thing I've learned from playing pokemon it's that 99.9% of british seniors are noobs and probably won't be playing much SP

Without the use of stronger language, I'll just say that statement was incredibly offensive to me and probably to a lot of other players. Including anyone who's ever been a British Senior. I can name some very good players, and loads more good players that were or are British Seniors. Don't insult all the Seniors who spend a good deal of their free time analysing and playing the game. And think before you post.

i dont think u should take the risk of running machamp try using gyradoes like the guy above me said its realy goos or u could be an sp player

realy sorry guys ok, maybe 99.9% was a bit off, but when i was playing 2 years ago I went to about 4 tournaments that year abd I only saw about 4 decent decks, and sam you were in that 0.1%

I'm only talking from experience, I'm sure that there are hundreds of good players but I've ony seen a few

I didnt litterally mean 99%, i meant to say that there are a lot.

lol if 99.9% are noobs then you'll lose to that 0.1% because research =/= you. Besides, if you can't go to many of them, how can you know? lolspeculationfail

Just look at Masters and presume that and then go with that. If you don't want to play Machamp, then don't, because if you're playing a deck that you don't have much experience with or don't really care too much to think of in terms of strategy then in a bad situation you'll just end up losing and you'll blame it on bad luck or some other meandering and pointless excuse.

Happens all the time to people, don't think that you're better than people because it makes you look like nothing but a chirping idiot when you lose.

It's because one of the last tournaments we went to was Bath, where the reigning champion had a "Fire Deck", so it probably left a bad impression.

Hope this clears everything up.

I think he meant the CURRENT seniors, not the past british seniors,

even nathan can't deny, seniors is not as good this year, with people like Nich F and Jak SA leaving the division

Alot of the best UK seniors have aged up recently, but I still think it's a competitive division and has some good players.
