Magmortar (DP-RR) - Viable?

Stigma

Well, I was testing out a magmortar build of mine today...I'm really liking it. 1-1 Heatran LV X is a beast (and don't fall for the misconception that it's a pain to get out- it really isn't!!) - it gives you guaranteed 30 damage between turns with torrid wave, which really gets nasty for SP decks. Heat wave is really just an added bonus, making it so you don't need to discard when you snipe. Being a stage 1, it's fairly swarmable, hits rather high (with a bit of a spread!) is rather consistent, fast, etc. It completely manhandles most SP decks (the snipe is nasty for them, they die quickly to the burn + spread, it's hard for them to kill you, usually, etc...pachi tech also helps here.) it has a fair matchup with flygon (need to be smart, though.) and does well against machamp. Opinions?

Note: I understand that it is a tad energy slow, but pickups and stark mountain help a LOT.

At regionals, I played a mostly psychic deck with a 2-1-1 Magmortar line. It obliterated Dialga G as intended. I never won against an SP deck though. I had trouble getting going otherwise (I have no real drawing power in my deck yet). The first game, Palkia G came up right behind Dialga G, weakness pretty much ending that advantage. I think I could have played better in other games, and had some pretty awful draws. I wanted to try this with Ninetales (PT) but haven't had a chance yet.
