Manchester UK Pokemon DS tournament 26/07/08

Hi, this is the official thread for the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl DS tournament on the 26th of July in Fanboy3, Manchester. It will start at 1:00pm but being there early is good so you can sign up and get your team checked. Certain Pokémon will be banned, as this is a UU (underused) tournament. This means some of the less powerful Pokémon will get a chance to battle - and win! The rules are as follows:

• 6 Pokémon team, all Lv.50 and no 2 of the same Pokémon. 1 on 1
  
• The tier used will be UU. for all Pokémon allowed see here. In addition you can use any unevolved Pokémon, as long as it is the lowest evolution of that Pokémon (including babies) and it can actually evolve. Snover, Hippopotas and Wynaut are banned.
  
• Only one of the same item can be used: eg - you can only have 1 leftovers in your team.
  
• Some attacks are banned: Any 1 hit KO moves (fissure, sheer cold etc.) and any evasion moves (double team, minimise).
  
• Sleep clause: You can only put 1 of your opponent's Pokémon asleep at any time.

Hi, just some extra things to make clear. The battles are 1 on 1 (ie. not double battles). Another thing, I came across a hacked Pokemon at league today (a very sneaky one, with max IVs and EVs across all stats) so we're going to have to make a quick team check before it starts, we'll do this for everyone so don't be offended, be careful what you get off GTS:wink:
