I was discussing hypothetical Unlimited scenarios with other players online, when the topic of the Mega Evolution rule came up.
Exact text of Mega Evolution rule
This is all fine and dandy when dealing with Mega Evolving normally. However, the word that intrigues me here is "becomes." What does it mean to "become" a Mega Evolution Pokemon. If you use Brock's Ninetales's Shapeshift Pokemon Power to treat that Pokemon as a Mega, would that end your turn? What about Mega Evolving your active against an opposing Fossil Ditto? Would your opponent's turn end at the same time, as their Ditto had also "become" a Mega Evolution?
Also, completely unrelated, but I figured I'd get the question out of the way just to confirm what I already know for a friend who plays Unlimited. Gust of Wind is still completely unchanged by the Pokemon Catcher errata, right?

When 1 of your Pokémon becomes a Mega Evolution Pokémon, your turn ends.
