Hi everybody it was a long time^^

So I wanted to do a deck with grass pokémon and i thought of sunflora and meganium ex UF.

Let's see the deck^^

Pokémon (17):

3 Pinsir LM
3 Chikorita UF
2 Bayleef UF
3 Meganium ex UF
3 Sunkern UF
3 Sunflora UF

Trainers (28):

2 Master Ball
1 Dual Ball
1 Great Ball
3 Rare Candy
3 Prof. Elm
3 Power Tree
1 Battle Frontier
2 Switch
1 Scott
1 Prof Birch
1 Prof. Cozmo
2 Holon Transceiver
2 Holon Mentor
1 Holon Lass
1 Holon Scientist
1 Holon Farmer
2 Energy Root

Energies (15):

15 Grass

Straegy:
Do a lot of damage with sunflora and its 2nd attack with meganium ex power wich allowed you to play 2 or 3 energy per turn. Pinsir is a good grass starter here to get fast set up. It can beat a lunasol alone too^^.

Power Tree to take the energies from the discard and reuse them with meganium ex.

Then there is a venusaur CG variant too that is quite good too:

Pokémon (19):

3 Pinsir LM
3 Chikorita UF
2 Bayleef UF
3 Meganium ex UF
3 Bulbasaur CG 46
2 Ivysaur CG 34
3 Venusaur CG

Trainers (26):

2 Master Ball
1 Dual Ball
1 Great Ball
3 Rare Candy
3 Prof. Elm
3 Power Tree
1 Battle Frontier
2 Switch
1 Scott
1 Prof Birch
1 Prof. Cozmo
2 Holon Transceiver
2 Holon Mentor
1 Holon Lass
1 Holon Scientist
1 Holon Farmer

Energies (15):

15 Grass

The strategy is the same but here venusaur is the main attacker. His 2 nd attck can be very useful too.
But you must choose of of them.

Sunflora is weaker but stage 1 ad venusaur is stronger but stage 2 so slow to set up.
I think the number of energies is ok because i tested 13 it was not enough.

Then maybe the trainers choice isn't so good.

All comments are welcome Thanks!

One HUGE problem with this deck is the lack of Boost nrg. here's my fix:

Pokémon (19):

3 Pinsir LM
3 Chikorita UF
2 Bayleef UF
3 Meganium ex UF
3 Bulbasaur CG 46
2 Ivysaur CG 34
3 Venusaur CG

Trainers (22):

4 Rare Candy
3 Prof. Elm
3 Low Pressure System
2 Warp Point
4 Holon Transceiver
3 T.V
2 Holon Lass
1 Holon Farmer

Energies (19):

7 Grass
4 Boost
4 Heal
4 DRE

The Venausaur deck is much better than Sunflora. the use of Boost for Venusaur is also much more advantageous. I suggest the build I have for the venusaur deck and go from there. Venusaur FTW! :thumb:

4 transceiver for only 3 holon trainers??

i didn't put boost or heal or somthing else because the text says " that provides only colorless energy"
so i thought it was only react or so ant not boost that provides 3 colorless energies not " only 1".

actually i get confused by the description of the poke body. could someone confirm that boost energies count as grass energies like said in the body or not?

Yes boost counts as 3 grass if the body works ( be aware it's only 1 gras if Crystal Beach is in play or NO grass if Cessation Crystal is in play).

Yep Venasaur turns boost to three grass. I have dropped 50 first turn with venusaur cany boost. knocks out about more than half of the recent basics.funny thing is delcatty ex could also fit in this deck. also replace the T.V.'s (my bad) with either Adventurer or Scientist or mentor....or perhaps a little mix.

yeah i think mentor to get basics should be good^^

thanks for your answers about its poke body^^

so you think it's better with venusaur or sunflora?

22 Pokemon
4 Bulbasaur(CG whichever you like)
2 Ivysaur(Pre-Release)
4 Venusaur
2 Chikorita
1 Bayleef
2 Meganium ex
4 Jirachi
2 Holon's Magnemite
1 Holon Electrode

14 Energy
8 Grass
3 Boost
3 DRE

24 Trainers
4 Rare Candy
3 Power Tree
3 PETM
3 Holon Transciever
3 TV Reporter
2 Windstorm
2 Holon Mentor
1 Holon Scientist
1 Holon Adventurer
1 Holon Farmer
1 Celio's Network

yeah seems good magnemite can be searched with mentor^^

windstorm is still good against holon circle or tools^^

thansk other suggestions?

Beach drops boost to 1C not 1G

Yes Beach makes boost 1 colorless, and thereafter Venusaurs body makes that 1 Grass.

--------------------------------

Energy, meaby add 1 or 2 Holon GL instead of DRE.
Power Tree is a bad choise in a deck with Boost.
You don't need a Stadium, only Windstorm in case you run into a cursed stone.

Umm...why run magnemite? I don't see the purpose really. Unless you are giving yourself snrgy with mentor. then I understand. anyways... rainbowgym is right you do get one grass from crystal beach.

This is the way I started.
I have to add Windstorm and take out Bills M., because I found out it's needed.
Pinsir is better i.s.o Yanma, I never thought about that card.
Meaby you can do anything with my list.

3 Chicorita
2 Bayleef
3 Meganium EX
4 Bulbasaur
2 Ivysaur
3 Venusaur
3 Yanma
1 Shuckle

4 Transceiver
1 Mentor
1 Farmer
2 Lass
2 Scientist
4 Rare Candy
2 PETM
2 Celio
1 Mr. Stone
1 Briney's Compassion
1 Switch
2 Bill's Maintenance.

14 Grass
2 Boost.

I thought crystal beach wasn't affected by Pokebodys, so wouldn't it be one colorless because beach won't let Venusaur change it to grass?

BTW, I think Straight Meganium w/o Venusaur or Sunflora is the way to go. much faster IMO.

Yes so a Pokebody/power will not turn it back into 2 or more nrg.
Crystal Beach is there to reduce the units of nrg, not to prevent a body turning that single colorless nrg into grass.

As far as I understand, a DRE would become 1 unit of cololess nrg. So venusaur would turn it into 1 gras.

why

what happened to jirachi ? also could someone explain the usefulness of dbl.rain. nrg and why it would be played with power tree? forgive me i'm new.

rainbowgym what does this mean : i.s.o? when you spoke of pinsir and yanma.

and shuckle is the one from UF?

I say take out power tree and put in low pressure system. run 4 boosts and 4 dre and 4 heal. this deck can use any colorless energy so use the advantageous ones like cyclone and heal and boost. the idea is to abuse Venusaurs body. Sure cessation shuts it down. Windstorm should be in here too. Probably 3.

i.s.o. in stead of. I said Pinsir is better than Yanma.
I was running Yanma because I overlooked Pinsir. I choose for Yanma because for the draw he gives
Shuckle is my joke in this deck, its the one from Unseen Forces.

Crystal Beach said:
Each Special Energy card that provides 2 or more Energy (both yours and your opponent's) now provides only 1 :colorless Energy. This isn't affected by any Poke-Powers or Poke-Bodies.

so Crystal Beach makes a boost energy = 1 x :colorless ,Venusaurs Poke-BODY is ignored.
