dave schwimmer asked me to pass this message along re: age group and rating issues with the site upgrade:
We are aware of additional data errors in our system that are the result of the data migration from go-pokemon.com to pokemon.com. We are working very hard on fixing all of these problems, but anticipate that it could take some time until everything is cleared up.

Please be patient, and in the meantime, keep track of any errors you're experiencing, particularly in regards to tournament participation and ratings. As you see resolutions to some of your issues, you'll be better prepared to send us a specific request that we can take action on.

We apologize for any inconveniences that you are experiencing and are striving to resolve all of these issues as quickly as possible.

Tell Dave to stop fixing all the errors and pass on messages himself!

Oh wait...

Seriously though, some patience would be helpful here, to give POP some breathing room to fix everything.

People ARE giving POP patience. Site's been down for about two weeks as far as getting uploading/updating/etc. They told us it should be taken care of by the 18th.

There is no option but be patient and keep reporting errors.

I'll be patient with ratings and rankings, because quite frankly it doesn't matter to me how right or wrong it is until May.

However, what I DO care about is information we've been starved of. Information on US Nationals and the Worlds invite structure is PARAMOUNT.

^ Agreed, along with VGC 2010 Rules, (I know, I know, assume JPN rules but still!)

We don't really have a choice to be patient or not, because one way or another, we have to now don't we?

I agree with Cyrus on information on the invite structure for US Nationals and Worlds! Also, I am having problems accessing my son's information. It says a parent permission is required, etc. That was already taken care of under the old system. My son's score was far better than when the new site first came on, but since I can't go past the log in, how can I even check if there are errors on tournament participation, etc.

Lastly, can someone please tell me why the site was even made public with all these glitches? I understand it takes time to merge data from different sources, but I frankly think it would have been better to just turn off the site with a clear written explanation that the site was undergoing changes, that data was being merged from different sources, and that the new, revamped site would be up and running whenever. The go pokemon site had been down for weeks on end in the last few months, so frankly it would not have made that much of a difference. The glitches with the new site now, I think, just adds more frustration on everyone's part, like my son. I'd rather see the new site as it was intended to be and not in the imperfect state it's in. Just my two cents from a diehard "Poke" Mom

I can answer this. You have to REACTIVATE your child's account. Go through the same process you did to reactivate your account and your child's account will then be accessible from you page.

As far as out of age groups. I can see they are fixing this. I had 3 of my 4 games that were giving me 0.00 now giving me points.

The new site looks pretty interesting, but I think it is a little harder to navigate on. Having the opportunity to see everything all spread out with little labels makes it easier. I still like the new site, though.

IDK, it is now the 21st and I am still missing around 50 points (or more). I know they are fixing it but, when is a good date to start worrying by???

Does anyone know where I can find this button "Resend the Activation Email Now"? I can't find it anywhere after I have logged into my son's account.

I found this on the Customer Service/Technical Questions section. I think if I have the reactivation email resent to me this may solve my problem as I wrote earlier. I still have not heard a response back from my e-mail to Customer Service on this question.

Thank you!

FROM THE POKEMON.COM SITE (Customer Service/Technical Support)
"First, have your mom or dad check their Junk Mail folder to make sure that the email was not filtered to the wrong place. If it is not there, you can have the email re-sent by logging in to the site, and clicking “Resend the Activation Email Now.”"

Could you let us know when they are through fixing the problem, please? As of right now there are several places on my ratings where the rating I finished a game with isn't the rating I started with on the very next game, and as a result I'm almost 29 points behind where I should be. I'm sure that means other players are ranked higher than they should be as well. Obviously, I want to go back and address that problem if it's necessary, but I don't want to bug them with it before then.

You have to sign on as your to your childs account. It should say that the account is not active would you like to resend activation email.

I did but there is no button or nothing that allows me to resend the activation e-mail. Also, I received the following response from OP Customer Service:

"Thank you for contacting us regarding your Pokemon Trainer Club account.

We recently became aware of an issue affecting many users that was impairing their ability to either log in, or activate their accounts.

We believe we have resolved this issue, and ask that you try again to access your account following the process outlined on www.pokemon.com.

If you continue to encounter difficulties with your account, please contact us again, and be sure to include the following in your correspondence to us, as it will greatly reduce the amount of time it will take for us to resolve your issue.

Player ID (Formerly POP ID)
Full Name
Date of Birth

Please also include as much detail about the problem as possible, including any error messages you are receiving.

We thank you for your patience."

I couldn't get on the pokemon.com site last night (it stalled) and I just went on and there is a message that says that the site is down. All we can do is wait, be patient and hope that when the site does come back on all these glitches will be taken care of. Thank you for your reply and help!
