OKay, so, I decided I wanted to toy around with something new, and I remembered an idea I had a long time ago.
This deck revolves around that idea, but with new techs.

Pokemon: 25
3-3 Steelix (Prime) (Swing Around Onix)
2-1-2 Metagross UL
2-1-2 Reuniclus
2-1-2 Serperior (Royal)
4 Skarmory

Trainers: 21
3 Collector
3 Candy
4 Communications
2 Juniper
2 Elm
3 Plus Power
2 Seeker
2 Jarm

Energy: 14
3 :colorless::colorless:
4 Spec:metal:
4 :psychic:
3 :metal:

Strategy: Load up your Onix-Steelix with Skarmory, while having the ability to get your DubC and Psychs down w/o fret of delay. Use the energy loading time to set up Serpericlus, which works well with this deck, considering you'll be reducing a good 20 damage; makes it easier to spread. This set up- Serp, Reuni, and Met- leaves enough bench space for another Steelix, assuming one's active, and maybe an offensive Meta. The best part about this deck is that, if Steelix is going down, he can retreat for free to a different Steelix. Basically, it's tank-swapping.

Well, I believe there was a rule change on the energy heal onix. I think its only if you attach energy to onix does it work. I'm probably wrong but you should check that out. I think all steel tank decks should wait until the next set though when we get Beartic and Max potion. MAx potion paired with klinklang is monserous. Beartic, is great because it is a great tech for fighting fire and because it adds a great card with metal weakness to the metagame. This makes metal decks all the more dangerous. For right now, this is a great steelix deck. I would try to find room for a 2-1-2 line of serperior And I would change PONT to junipers just because you already run 2 Jarms and because of steelix's first attack which is situational but good.

Sweet deck! I'd love to play against it.

Yeah, I've heard about that change. I'll look into it, but it won't affect my choice either way.

And, forgive me if I sound rude, but, I don't see how Beartic could help this deck in any way, other than type coverage. It'd just limit the amount of energies I could use, because I'd need to get a psychic energy onto it for it to even remotely fit in, which just messes up it's costs; there's a chance for an unnecessary energy to be attached, but I'm not a big fan of putting energy where they aren't needed. I do however understand the Klinklang idea, and I've tried that out, just never threw a Max Potion in the mix. When the time comes, I'll make the changes.

Oh, I actually did change Serp line on another file, forgot to do it here. The Juniper idea is something I'll have to think about, too.

YEah, I worded it weird. Beartic helps the other style steelix tank decks. Being ones that only run metal energy. But Beartic DOES help Steelix in that Steelix matches up very good against it and Beartic should become a very popular card after the next set is released. If this deck is working, don't change it though.

Onix does have an errata. You really should use the other onix, give you an umbreon counter

You should be using Onix #57 so you don;t get completely walled by umbreon. Also you should never be attacking with Reuniclus so you can drop the psychic energy. Also I think the Metagross is alot more trouble than it's worth, where as switch does the same thing. If you're going to be playing this you'll also need a fire counter. Beartic next set is your best option, but you could also use lanturn prime for now. Lanturn also gives even more type coverage. I also don't really see the necessity for seeker.

So here's what I would do.
-4 Psychic
-Metagross line
-2 seeker
-1 plus power
That's 12 free spots

+1 DCE
+ 1 Basic Metal
+2 Lightning Energy
+ 2-2 Lanturn Prime
+2 switch
+2 Energy exchanger.
