4 Dunsparce(22 Poke'mon)
3 Slakoth(rest:remove all damage)
2 Vigoroth(rage:20+)
3 Slaking(no powers)
2 Pidgey
1 Pidgeotto
2 Pidgeot(laugh at opponent because he can't use Pidgeot;resist to fighting)
2 Bagon
1 Shelgon
2 Salamence Ex(free retreat for King;resist to fighting)

4 Boost Energy(16 Energy)
6 Fire Energy
6 Water Energy

4 Rare Candy(22 Trainers)
3 Celio's Network
3 Tv Reporter
3 Steven's Advice
3 Meteor Falls(use rest and rage on previous evolutions)
2 Vs Seeker
2 Mr. Briney's Compassion
1 Poke'mon Retreiver
1 Energy Recycle System

The basic Strategy is to switch between Kings and heal with rest while throwing critical move every now and then; Salamence Ex is in there for free retreat because both rest and critical move can't be used in the next turn plus he backs up Slaking's weakness and hits for 120; Pidgeot is in there for obvious reasons plus what is the point in your opponent not using Pidgeot if you don't; The whole deck is based on Meteor falls so if you think I should run 4 let me know; (((Tell me what you think)))

Another fun one that I only need 2 of the cards to make which would be the Sallys Looks killer 3 stadium should work

Nice deck. I think you could use x1 Professor Oak's Research just for anti-decking purposes. Maybe you should take out Pokemon Retrieval for it since you already run x2 briney to save pokemon that are about to get knocked out. ;/

I was thinking of that, except I would run Rocket's Admin. instead(it hurts pretty bad to kill their hand when they have no Pidgeot).

A couple months ago, I won a CC with my Slaking/Pidgeot/Mantine deck. Since then, I have been trying to find ways to make Slaking great again. Meteor Falls does it. Meteor Falls gives this deck so many different ways to attack. You can completely heal yourself, inflict massive damage if your Slaking is injured, and then of course, there's Slaking's original attack, Critcal Move, which is just awesome. You have all these attacks at your disposal while shutting off all of your opponent's Pokemon Powers. That's pretty broken, especially when Pidgeot is a staple in every deck. Pidgeot is essential, letting you search for what you want. Salamence ex is just awesome. Free retreating Slaking, oh how I love it. This deck doesn't base itself around one core Slaking destroying everything like my old deck did. The way I play this deck is I use one Slaking while benefiting from Meteor Falls attacks, while building another on my Bench. That way I have two attacking Slakings I can switch between. Double Rainbow needs to stay in this deck. It helps when building a second Slaking. I am not a huge fan of Boost in this deck because you completely leave a Slaking with no energy. The only reason I keep two, because I mainly will use them with Salamence ex.

The Pokemon are pretty much straightforward. Four Dunsparce, 3/3/3 Slaking (the only way to run the line). Then the 2/1/2 on Pidgeot and Salamence with 4 Rare Candy seems to fit for me. Next, the energy is the only questionable part of the deck. I would like another Basic Energy, bringing my total to 12. I've played 12 with my other versions. Sometimes having that extra basic to discard with Critical Move, or to use with Dunsparce makes all the difference. The Trainers are pretty basic too. I still like some Warp Points because it is disruptive, and lets me switch my Salamence if I need to attack. It also helps if I need to use Critical Move and don't have the Salamence up.

The only real change, and I'll keep testing, that I'd make to my list is:
-1 Mr Briney's Compassion/Warp Point
+1 Fire Energy

There's my list and strategy, it mirrors yours, but is a little different. This is one of my state deck potentials. Good luck!

actually dog the retriver for another ERS since a ruling was made or just claified that Critical move states discard a basic energy so if we are attacking with boost we loose all energies attached so we may also wanna go down a briney and add one energy charge to retreive 2 boost Maybe?

Thanks Jim, you helped me realize a few things:

4 Dunsparce(23 Poke'mon)
3 Slakoth
3 Vigoroth
3 Slaking
2 Pidgey
1 Pidgeotto
2 Pidgeot
2 Bagon
1 Shelgon
2 Salamence Ex

6 Fire Energy(16 Energy)
5 Water Energy
3 Double Rainbow Energy
2 Boost Energy

4 Rare Candy(21 Trainers)
4 Celio's Network
3 Tv Reporter
3 Steven's Advice
3 Meteor Falls
2 Vs Seeker

I can't believe people need rulings/clarifications when the card clearly says "Discard a basic energy attached..."

um well i may be naive but you could get the same "no retreat" effect withy dodrio and it gives u one card of space, but it does lack the firpower of saly

I didnt ask it Junior so dont go stirring the pot to a simple statement.

I think that's a good point, it'd be more consistent.

-_-

Number 1, Dodrio's attack is terrible. Salamence is a good backup attacker.
Number 2, you need to have BOTH Dodrio in play. That's two bench spots as opposed to one, whereas you can Strike and Run for the Bagon, then Candy to Salamence.

I dunno how running Dodrio over Salamence makes this a better deck in any light. Mabye if Slaking's retreat was 2. But even then...

It's great to see your still working on a pokemon you really like Jim.

I wasn't referring to you, don't worry.

Just a general aside about TCG's in general.

It's depressing to see so many people digging around for loopholes that they'd ask about such a cleanly and clearly worded attack... X_x

Happens a lot in Yugioh too.
