When you go thru the gate, make sure you tell them that day you are there for the Pokemon Tournament or you will be charged to get into the Park. You will only be able to get in free the day of the tournament so if you arrive the day before you will have to pay to get into the park. Last check there were no available rooms for the night before or the night of the tournament due to it being Christmas weekend. If your wanting to stay nearby there is also a Holiday Inn nearby. I would rather not have more then one thread, as it is easier for me to post information about all my tournaments on one thread. This way if things change or information needs to be added I can do it to the main post. Plus being in Northern Indiana we do get snow and may have to cancel an event if the snow gets to heavy or dangerous to drive on roads and would rather not have to have people check more then one place for last minute cancelations.

For those of you looking to travel on Thanksgiving weekend. Just wanted to point out that you can hit 2 cities in one weekend. Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids are only about an hour or so away from each other. So a short drive you can hit 2 on the same weekend!!!

Angola is tomorrow. Just thought I would give everyone a heads up, they are calling for very dense fog in the morning. When it gets up to 50 degrees and you have over 6 inches and in some places even more snow on the ground this should be expected. We will not delay the tournament for people running late. Registration is from 11-11:45. If you are driving from a ways away please note the heavy fog that is expected north of Ft Wayne tonight and tomorrow morning.
 
Well Ft Wayne is Saturday, for those traveling, be aware weather isn't suppose to be pretty that day around Ft Wayne.

SNOW WILL DEVELOP FROM WEST TO EAST DURING THE MORNING HOURS ON FRIDAY. LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY FRIDAY. BY FRIDAY EVENING... SNOWFALL TOTALS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED.

FRIDAY NIGHT... SNOW MAY POSSIBLY MIX WITH FREEZING RAIN DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS BEFORE CHANGING BACK TO SNOW AND TAPERING OFF SATURDAY MORNING. ADDITIONAL LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE POSSIBLE... ALONG WITH A LIGHT COATING OF ICE.

Be aware, weather is suppose to get pretty bad in Ft Wayne this weekend.

I rarely cancel a tournament, Northern Indiana is use to 6 inches of snow and most people know how to drive in it. If your driving a long distance I would leave early enough not to miss registration. We are under time constraints at this location and will not extend registration times. If we do cancel it will be posted on the post above and on cardleagues.com

FYI, in 8 years, I have only canceled 1 tournament, and that was only because of a snow emergency was in effect and we couldn't be on the roads.

Drive carefully, and no I will not extend registration times, you must be in line at the cutoff time to play in the first round, no exceptions.

This is where I admit I was wrong. Currently as of noon ft wayne already has 3 in of snow on the ground and snow is falling at an inch an hour.

I am currently talking to the library, pokemon usa, and a friend that is an indiana state police officer. Please check here and/or cardleagues.com as it looks like we may cancel the ft wayne tournament for safety concerns. Check back here and on cardleagues.com for updates as the dicision should be made in next few hours.

Yes this tournament has been canceled. Heavy snow earlier today along with an approaching snow storm that is to hit tonight made it so we had no choice but to cancel.

The counties north and south of Allen county, the county the tournament is in are under level 3 Snow Emergencies. So far Ft Wayne has 3-4 inches of snow near the location that the tournament has been held.

I didn't want to cancel this tournament, but felt it was better to cancel then risk someone getting hurt trying to get there.

Prereleases will be up in the next few days. The Magic Prerelease and Release events are making scheduling these a little more difficult then normal as a few places I use also run Magic.

The schedule will be

South Bend January 31
Kalamazoo January 31
LaGrange February 1
Rochester Hills February 7
Tecumseh February 8

The only one I know a start time right now is Tecumseh. I won't be at the Rochester Hills one and have to figure out a start time for that in the next few days. South Bend, Kalamazoo, and Lagrange are going to be effected by Magic Prereleases so start times may vary on those.
