Please tell me that the main store is reserved for this event. There is absolutely no way you can play a regional in the same place we played States!!! Meganium Please confirm that this is 100% fact!!

100% with you on this one, Scott. I was JUST thinking the same thing. If we don't have the main room for the event, I think you should be looking for a new location, Vince. It will be impossible to hold it in the side room.
The sad thing is, I could really see them kicking us out of the main room for some tiny MTG tourney.

No, not the case at all.
Here is the deal..
We have the MAIN room for the Regionals.
Other events will be given dedicated space, so that they may be moved to the annex if we need more space.
Further, if the Regionals becomes too large or cumbersome for the main store, we could have use of the annex as well as the main tourney space.
I agree, it was a bit packed in there, but I think it pulled off quite well this weekend.
Trust me, Regionals is THE priority on that day, both for myself and for Alan.
Just a quick major props to the judging staff of Ness, Cory, James, Zak and Andrew for pulling this off perfectly! You guys really proved your worth, and are all welcome to judge any other event I am running!
Props to Alan for taking care of his judging staff - lunch and dinner, along with comp, not a bad gig folks!
Reminder - to all Chicago Area people - Alan is looking for someone to help with Pokemon on an ongoing basis! We have the great player base, but we need that parent or person to take this over the top!

I'm only up here bout half the year, but I'm more than willing to help out! It'll be good to help out the entire year (both up here and down at U of I). Really, I hope that we get a TON of players for Regionals and fill up both places. This one will be huge, folks! I'm just happy to be a part of it!!!

Vince darling, could you please post the details on the first post here? Inquiring minds want to know. I'm trying to pass on info, but have little to pass on. Times, any details... the Pastimes Pokemon website is so sparce that all it says is Registration at 11 on April 8th, and it's only 2 weeks away. Thanks! Appreciate it!

I'm interested in seeing more details myself. I would love to run many side events during the top cut, but I need to know if these can be planned out in advance.

Call the store...probably not get much of an answer.
Call me...you are more on point.
There will be side events run after the top cut, I have identified a few of those on the new first post.
This will be an event worth going to...where else can you win over $13,000 in scholarships at a free tourney (OK, I know a great place 4.5 hours to the south...but still)
