Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Mightyena + Skuntank G + Broken Time-Space = Broken Concept?

Poison damage makes him 80 hp. Actually it may as well be 70, since thats the ammount of damage they need to do to kill you the first time.

I would hesitate to call this card combo bad...it can still do a ton of damage without doing it for free.

We have a weird metagame getting ready to start with states...if everyone playing the 1st week of states plays Dialga G but no one plays pokebodies, will they keep the Dialga G for the next week.

We have a very very good build of Mightyena and Skuntank and have gotten it to about 50/50 against the SP Frog and friends with Dialga G in it. If there is no Dialga G or it gets knocked out (which is easier than you think with the right build), the match is no contest..Mighty wins every time.

You guys keep talking up the badness of Mightyena so no one will be willing to play it. Thats perfect in my book.

Is it THE deck...I doubt it, but don't underestimate it.

Who knows...Dancing Pineapples could win too...

you need 4 cards in your hand and you need to be going second to do it. it also fails against G decks because they can;t be poisoned and if your opponent didn't have an energy on their poke it would only do 50 T1 (+10 poison) and then you would be at 70 HP next turn..

Who said anything about T1 donking...our version doesn't care when it goes. It LIKES T1, but going second is just fine....Set up T2 is good nuff too.

And why would this deck care if you can or cannot poison G decks..its helpful, but not required

Yeah, Dialga G Lv. X only belongs in SP decks, its not like the whole world is going to play it. I still will support Toxicroak in this argurment however.

I predict the same thing that happened with Machamp, will happen with Dialga.

...are you joking? Dialga G Lv. X only belongs in SP decks? That makes no sense. Any deck completely reliant on Poke Powers NEEDS to be running it. Ampharos decks and Ampharos techs will be abundant. Just because it has "G" in its name doesn't mean you can't run it in anything else...

I could just build my deck around coming into play powers instead...

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Someone forgets that they aren't on Pojo...

And it has 90 HP, my friend. Not 80. 90. Learn the cards' stats before judging them.

So any pokemon that can survive a mightyena attack and deal at least 70 damage will beat you. Now think of how many decks can do that. That will tell you how viable the idea is.

what?

The idea is to get some quick prizes, possibly take 2 within the first 2 turns of the game. Dialga still needs to get up and running and is that is really hard to do within the first 2 turns of the game if you dont start with it. I think its easier to pull the mightyena combo than it is to pull diala that fast consistintly against the decks you want to pull it against. And if all this SP stuff is so great, why play dialga. Basically your arguments conter each other.

Plus dialga doesn't automatically make mightyena a dead card. You still have the ability to atach energy. So what if you dont get easy oneshots from almost every sp pokemon, you can 2 shot them anyway while nothing in SP decks (besides Wevile) can hit you for more than 40 due to resistance.

Run this with a PL Blissey and Moonlight Stadium.

You can retreat Mightyena and heal it with Nurse Call, and send up another Mightyena to get Poisoned by Skuntank and attack.

The Discard can be slightly annoying, but nothing stops you from running MT Blissey with some Happiny and using Kind Egg to help draw or Happy Chance to retrieve discarded energy.

I'd play Toxicroak over Mightyena any day. Croak has a built in Unown G, and doesn't get poisoned from Skunk. Mightyena doesn't require energy and has a higher damage output, but will eventually destroy itself by poison damage.

Not if you play an 1-1 line of Blissey(Pt) as a tech

WHY THE HECK AREN'T YOU PEOPLE SIMPLY USING BOTH MIGHTYENA AND TOXICROAK G?!

Toxicroak G takes care of non G decks, as well as has the ability to survive that Mightyena... lacks. But whereas Toxicroak fails horribly vs SP decks, Mightyena takes care of them quite nicely, seeing as how few pokemon SP can survive more than 1 hit from him.

I mean seriously, is it THAT hard to think up?! -_-*
